Getting this off my chest...

I went overseas for a job, the post had good money and I was trying to get away from my hometown after many heartbreaks. Long story short. I came back to my country and my hometown a shell of my former self. I was scared to set the table, I was scared to talk and I was scared to stay silent. I had lived in constant fear for nigh on 9 months. I live in a small room now, with a bathroom. People are always surprised at the small places I've come to be staying in for the past five years. Funny thing is my make or break isn't the space... does the door to my room have a lock. So funny. I mean a door can be kicked down and my current room is separated by drywall so technically you wouldn't even need to kick my door in... But psychologically it means I have a place of safety. It's sad but just seeing how far I've come it feels like empty me came home and God just built me back up. He gave me good people that prayed and supported. Didn't expect me to have everything together and was into staying in my messed up life for the long haul. Now I'm finally finding a couple more pieces I thought I lost. My heart included. (Promise not trying to be sappy just couldn't believe when it fluttered again I nearly fell over!) So grateful to be alive, still struggle but enjoying today's feeling of progress and victory. They don't come along often some I'm basking in it before the sun sets completely on today.
