Being the Popular Boy, Lukas has inevitably become unbearably conscious of other’s opinion. It took him quite a while to acknowledge Philip at school, even longer to be honest with their relationship to a special few, Brett and Neil being one of those.
Brett stares at Lukas and sighs, giving him a sympathetic pat on the shoulder. “I guess I don’t share your baggage,” he sits down and lays out his lunch. He has bought more than a regular person would but seems happy about it. “I don’t know. It should come naturally. When Neil’s around, I just want to be close. I have to be close.”
Unwrapping his burrito, he glances up at Lukas. “...You’re scared of your friends knowing?”
