Their relation was difficult to say the least. There had been too many animosities between them, but he was still her father.  And the blood bond between them was much stronger than she had ever been willing to admit.

Now that general Ross was pushing new anti-mutant laws, Wanda knew father would get involved, His fight for better tomorrow for mutants was just, except his basically terroristic methods of achieving it. Those methods could make things worse, so she tried to make Erik stand down. Too bad he was so stubborn.

“I have my ways of influence. I’ll try to block that registration, but you have to let it go. Please.”

She gets it though, and she barely waited to disappear as well. For all she knows, she’s been gone for ages, come to think of it... But considering he dropped off the face of the Earth first, she’s pretty sure he won’t have a leg to stand on.

Being close to people is terrifying. It tends to leave you within arms’ reach of way too many ways to bleed. “How have you been?”

Dear Erik, if your son ever tells you “don’t come in I’m naked” and throws his pants at your face, chances are he was looking up something related to Hydra trying to find out what happened to his sister (read: confirm that she died years ago because he forgot to pick her up from school and by the time he remembered and ran back from the bank he was breaking into, he was five minutes too late to stop her from being kidnapped)!

To be entirely honest, Peter wants very very desperately for Erik to approve of him.  He’s always wanted a dad, and losing his stepfather actually was what prompted his mutation to manifest and then losing his little half-sister was what prompted him to stop stealing (at least for mine anyway).  He just.  Usually has no idea how to bring up the whole “I’m your son” conversation, especially since he’s super paranoid about Erik being disappointed in him when he finds out that Peter’s kind of sort of responsible for his half-sister (who was also a mutant) ending up dead and just.  Yeah.

Tl;dr he is a sassy shit who puts his foot in his mouth and the only way to tell he’s joking these days seems to be when he actually calls Magneto Dad since whoops he’s too terrified of consequences to actually say anything on his own.
