Amnesiphobia & Oneirophobia // end me pls
Amnesiphobia: Your muse has forgotten mine, and mine is trying to make yours remember.
Another revolt started by Liam and Omerta, another greate scheme starting to unfold in Athos while Anchors gathered to protect the royal family -- they’d been more aggressive, wild, yet strategic in their moves -- and Sofia knew they’d not stop today, even if they’d lose.
The man she barely knew was breaking down in front of her, bending one leg at a time, his body giving in to the intense beating of his heart as his thoughts were too much of a burden to carry a whole body just another step. With more and more new Anchors starting to show up, it didn’t take long for the first to join them on the battlefield. He must’ve known then, how their efforts were just an inconvenience to the royal family, nothing anyone could really benefit from. And her fighting for the other side? Fighting against the man she once knew and loved? What a trivial fight, indeed. As the last bit of electricity ran through his body, Joel looked up towards her, faintly smiling before he pulled one hand up to his head, mumbling just one word to himself: forget. Immediately Sofia’s heart pounded wildly, her headache increased itself and she almost thought her head would explode any minute. And, as Joel fell against the grass completely, so did she. Screaming in pain as memories kept rushing back into her mind, Sofia kept rolling around in the grass, her nails almost digging into her scalp. An excruciating pain of guilt and sorrow, one she’d never felt before. Vivid displays of bodies and -- that smell -- reality mixed with her dreams and she found herself at a cliff, forcing herself to look down. A sea of blood violently raged and clashed against the stones underneath. Stepping back in her dream, Sofia walked back to Eden, back to their paradise. Breathing heavily, every bit of Eden slowly vanished and all that remained was a darkness, a fog, then lightning hitting the ground repeatedly. Her dreams were gone.
Gasping and straightening up at the same time, Sofia regained consciousness. As she looked to her right she could see Joel holding his head as if he was in pain. This aching in her heart, this emptiness, just wasn’t there anymore -- all that remained was a deep sorrow, all these memories she’d cherished but had been taken from her. “Joel,” dragging herself towards him, Sofia grabbed both his shoulders and shook him slightly. His eyes were open and responded to the sudden disappearance of light as she pushed herself in between the sun and Hypnos -- and yet, he didn’t react to her face, at all -- at least not how she’d suspected. “You forgot me,” tears ran down her cheeks “you wanted to forget.” A faint, heartbroken smile was all she could respond with after acknowledging the truth -- he’d lost him now, that’s why she regained her memories. “I love you,” Sofia whispered as she softly took his hand into hers even though they shook miserably. Giving him another shock, but this time to jolt his body slightly, Joel’s eyes widened in shock, but nothing happened. Another shock followed, desperation clearly visible in her face next to an anger she could barely control. “I lost you once -- I don’t want to lose you again. Please, remember me, Joel -- remember! Please.” her sobbing got to a point at which other Anchors were looking towards them, unsure how to respond. “Remember! You fucking idiot, remember!” she yelled at him, boxed against his chest numerous times, but not with much strength considering her current state of mind. “Remember!”
Oneirophobia: My muse has a dream about yours.
Illuminated steps were leading down a dark hallway, into a combination of fog and then nothing but darkness. She couldn’t help herself but walk further into the darkness, further into the unknown as she was drawn to it like a magnet. As fog embraced her Sofia looked towards the steps, hoping to never miss one along the way. Whatever awaited her down there would be worth it, that much she knew. As the fog and darkness lifted Sofia was greeted with a bunch of different scenes, all mixed together on one big area. She could see bodies on her left with a shrine next to them. Flowers, a marble gravestone with five names on it. She didn’t recognize them at all. The figures were slowly standing up from their marble seats, but didn’t proceed to walk closer almost as if they were frozen. It was easily the largest shrine she’d ever seen, but at second glance it looked more like a gravestone. To her right she could see Minx, working on something until the victorious clicking echoed through the area. The safe next to her sprung open, revealing jewels and a ring. Sofia couldn’t help herself and smiled -- until she saw Noah from the corner of her eye, walking around in shorts and a shirt, a mug in his hand as he moved through an unknown kitchen, grinning at her -- or through her. “Didn’t expect you here until at least another few hours, bro.”
“You shouldn’t be here,” Sofia turned around towards the source. Joel. “You should leave immediately, now.” He grabbed Sofia and dragged her alongside with her. A fire broke out, quickly found its way through the area and started to burn down several objects and scenes. “Wake up,” Joel pleaded “Wake up, Sofia!”
