“This world is what we make of it.”
“I am afraid to be an important maker of it though.” Cécile let out, looking up at the woman who was her cousin, confidant, and highest lady in waiting all in one. She began to mess with the violet and gold silk mantua that covered the matching gown. She felt as if she could not breathe, it wasn’t from the the baline corset either. Cécile was afraid. She was hours away from officially being Queen of Wales and the weight of her title that was so close suddenly becoming a reality to her. She took a deep breath and gave Nora a soft smile when she felt her hands start to adjust her blonde curls to hang elegantly and be appropriate for the crown that would sit on it in a few hours. “I could never do this without you at my side, Nora. You are my constant in life, I could not do any of this without you at my side. I think I would be even more of a mess of emotions.” Cécile let out thankful to have the other woman there to calm her down.
