Is this person afraid of dying? Why or why not?
At one point, he may have been, but now days, he’s accepted that it’s going to happen, one day or another. Being afraid of death will cause hesitation, and hesitation could very well cause his own death or someone else’s. So he’s accepted that one day, he’s going to die. He’s fine with it.

He had heard that the Inquisition’s base of operations was small, but Krem still had to admit that Haven surprised him. He didn’t know much about the story behind Haven’s backgound, only knowing that it was a village in the Frostback Mountains that wasn’t on the map for years and suddenly it was the new base for the newly formed Inquisition.
He had a feeling it wasn’t going to last. It was too small and the Inquisition would need bigger one day. But still...
“It’s not a bad place...” He had told the Herald, when B’hadir had come by to check on how the Chief and him were settling in. “We don’t mind sharing a tent; We’ve done it before, and we have a good location to watch for any attackers and watch at how your Commander takes care of his recruits.”
He paused, offering an easy and kind smile at the elf. He found it funny, actually. Everyone treated Dalish elves like they were trash, and then suddenly, one was the Herald of Andraste. It was funny.
“Regardless, it’s a good place for now.”

The Dalish blinked sluggishly- he felt awful, in all honestly. He wasn’t about to say or show that, but it was becoming more and more evident- particularly when he completely missed the table he was trying to set a book upon.
“I’m fine, thank you-” He insisted, cocking his head to the side slightly.
“You are not fine and you’re about to fall off your feet,” Solas insisted, politely not commenting on the book that he dropped onto the floor. “I know you have important matters to tend to, but none of them will matter if you die of an illness. Now go to bed, otherwise I’ll see if Cassandra will have better luck escorting you there.”
"Talk to me."
“I’ll kill anyone who tries to take you away.”
