Like it isn’t even to like his character if you don’t like him that’s your deal you know and I completely and totally understand that but I want to make him transparent to the reader, or to anybody who reads my things honestly. It’s so simple but like... when I can tell people haven’t read my rules because your blog already is against some of them. Or.. like I know I say the bios are mostly for me because keeping track of this many muses is wild but also when people say something completely wrong about my muse that is right on their bio. It’s wild.

Speaking from a USA perspective: the school system, from grade school to college, sucks. It’s overpriced, it doesn’t cater to all of the kids they’re supposed to (disabled, multilingual, etc.), funding largely goes to sports, they set these high ass standardized test marks, pressure kids, make them work for hours in settings not beneficial to growing bodies like.... god if I didn’t already not want kids, I would not want them just so they wouldn’t have to be put through the hell that is the american education system.

The great and wondrous machina city, Zanarkand.  He had said those words before, and walked the ruins with his mother as a child.  Because of that time when he was 10, there was always the bitter feeling pressed against his back.  And Seymour found himself back to the ruins once again, unsure why that was.  Even so, the feeling remained unwelcome.

I’ve actually played none of the Elder Scrolls games, so I can’t answer this the way you’re asking :( but! Have you played Dragon’s Dogma? It was touted as ‘The Skyrim you play while waiting for Skyrim’, but it’s honestly very good on its own! Open world high fantasy where you have to track down the dragon that stole your heart. I really need to get back to it, it’s super fun. If you don’t mind, I’ll take your ask and do some Dragon’s Dogma AU headcanons? :D

The game starts you out in a seaside village, so in this AU, Luna is a princess of a kingdom beyond the borders of the game’s map. Her kingdom was invaded by a power-hungry empire, and most of her family was killed, but, while injured, Luna’s mother smuggled Luna away to this village to live in relative anonymity. The villagers here kept her secret and treated her as one of their own.

As such, Luna grew up working on the docks in the village. Her hands have become calloused and scarred, and her skin has a sun-kissed glow to it. She can still burn pretty easily, so she spends part of her day indoors helping whatever shops might need assistance, and her mornings and evenings are spent on the docks.

When the dragon shows up and steals her heart, many in the village believe that Luna becomes an Arisen because of who she is. Did the dragon know that she’s the princess whose body was never found? Was it the strength of her soul and heart that allowed her to become an Arisen rather than simply die? No one’s sure, and very few relay these questions to her, instead letting her leave to get her heart back.

Luna accepts this fate, and sets out immediately, not knowing at all what the journey or destination entails, but believing that it needs to be done before she can return home. Some tell her along the way that she can continue to exist as an Arisen and not face the dragon, but determination sees her on this journey anyway. Perhaps with the hopes that the dragon may have answers as to her family and kingdom.

Luna would be a fighter/mage combo, using staves for brute force with a side of magic.

“I meant to do that.” It probably wasn’t convincing. She wasn’t even convincing herself with it. She wasn’t meant to that, it had been a complete accident. “Besides, it could’ve been worse.” Hands went to her hips as she observed the scene before her. She had been attempting to replicate the device the man had given her in an attempt to fix the original one. She might have tried to inject it with some magic to keep it powered for longer and to ensure the range remained consistent. It hadn’t worked and she’d over estimated the amount of magic she needed. In truth, it wasn’t the best first impression she could’ve made but she was working with completely new technology here.

“I could’ve hit you with magic instead of that.” She turned her head towards the man, her expression and tone completely serious. Magical accidents happened within the city. Not all of them were simple electric shocks or hair being singed. Some were more serious and required a lot of care afterwards. It wasn’t something to be joked about.

Letting out a sigh as she turned back to the contraption, her hands fell back down to her sides. “I can give it another shot. It might take me a while though, so you’re more than welcome to go out and explore the city while you wait.” He only risked getting lost in between the buildings. She’d be able to find him again though or he could stay close to where they were. It was up to him at this point as to if he wanted to find someone else to fix his little machina for him.

   TRUST HIM; it was not convincing at all. His brow raises, quirking from the combination of amusement and expectation, the smooth bark of his words backed up by hardly any bite. He has no doubt that of how much more dire the situation could have turned out to be---perhaps she could have blown them all to the heavens in a burst of magic-induced flames. Thankfully, she had not, his life spared from the dramatics of another’s failure. In any case, his spirits remained high, his lips curved into distinct interest.

   “Your composure in controlling the outcome is... greatly appreciated.” Honesty appears to flow into the dips and lilt of his words, shielding the hints of his dubiety towards her statement. How unfortunate, to have his airship sunk so low into a city distinctly unfamiliar with Strahl’s kind. Perhaps favor shines not upon him on this day, but to find even one person willing to attempt the mess of replicating the contraption was blessing enough. 

   His lips once more pull into an easy smile, his steps taking him closer to the woman’s side. He had already bled the information dealers dry of their usefulness; his time would be best spent assisting her, at this point at least. “If my assistance would prove useful, shall I offer it then?”
