The compound was underground, hidden in the seemingly wild and natural tropical landscape. With the collapse of their Singaporean office, the only way in was through a series of coded knocks against an aged tree.
Clad only in the thinnest of linen suits, he was already sweating by the time he slipped into the blissfully cool caverns only to find that the entryway was now blocked, not by natural growth, but by a manmade barrier of boxes and sticks. He arched a brow, pulling out his gun before lending a hand to help Lancelot slip in.
Vagrants? But how could vagrants make their way into such a secure location? He gestured for Lancelot to be quiet as he slipped behind one of these barriers, looking for any sign of the old security precautions through his glasses.
Oddly enough, there were none. What was going on?
