+ @ofervdition ( for anne )
she must have looked ridiculous, engulfed in a robe with her hair wrapped up in a towel, but it was the most relaxed elene had felt in weeks --- arguably even months. there was nothing like a massage to forcibly remove all the tension she’d been carrying, and it seemed the facial had helped to fix how tired she looked. it wasn’t magical, but at least the puffiness had gone down and her skin was brighter, the dark circles under her eyes had yet to disappear, but that was nothing a little concealer couldn’t fix.
however, by far the best part of it all had been having time with anne. the woman had almost forgotten how much better she felt after spending time with others, especially after weeks of wallowing in her hotel room, with nothing but shitty room service and netflix to keep her company --- and anne ? she was better company than most.
“ what one should i get ? ” she asked, turning to anne, holding up two polishes, one burgundy and the other a deep blue metallic as the pair sat, getting their pedicures, wearing one of the first genuine smiles she had in a long time.
