He had to dig in his closet, but eventually James found his badge. Given his goal for the day, it would probably be helpful to have on him, even if he was outside of his jurisdiction. It was a bit of an effort walking around the festival without his cane, but eventually James spotted someone that was openly carrying a badge on their hip. "Oy, yer a cop here right?" James pulled out his own from his pocket and flashed it. "I uh, need to talk to you about somethin' if ya got the time."

Sam thanked the person that lead him around the commune to the head of the household before turning to Sandra with his hand out. "Hi, you must be Sandra Quispe. I'm Samuel Ahn from the Huntsville Daily. If you're not too busy I'd actually like to ask a few questions about your predecessor, if that's okay."

"You sure it's fine to keep the van in your garage? You won't get in trouble or anything if people found all that stuff?" Pascal put his hand to his chin as few creases appeared on his forehead. Was he overthinking this? Probably. But honestly this place was strange half the time he still though he was dreaming this.

All he wanted was a coffee. It was early, he hated being up early but for some reason everything in this damn town happened early. Well he knew why BUT STILL. All he wanted was a coffee and the door wouldn't open. He tugged at it again. Nope not budging. How had people gotten in?! He frowned at the door pulling at it repeatedly but not getting anywhere. "I just want my coffee." He whined. @ofescapisms

Paloma looked to the younger Jessie. "Thanks." she smiled drily a small frown on her face, "I'll make note of that." she looked down at the flower crown she was holding, "They're nice though, yours looks good," she nodded her head towards the other. "You having fun here?" Paloma asked continuing to look around.

James grumbled as he glared at his long since empty beer. He'd already had one earlier in the day to take the edge off of hunting down his medals, and as soon as he entered the dance hall to help ease his discomfort being around so many people. He'd made a promise to his loved ones not to go past two beers a day, but god damn he wanted a drink. It barely registered when someone leaned against the wall next to him. He looked over and nodded in greeting. "Surprised yer here."

James had no idea how long he'd been at the bar, how long ago Penny left him here to pick up whatever pieces were left of his heart. All he did was stare blankly at the table and drink. And drink. And drink. It was only when the chair Penny had been sitting in moved back, a different blonde taking the spot that he blinked in confusion. No...it wasn't her. She made it clear she wasn't coming back. "Hey, Charlie," he said bitterly. It wasn't her fault she wasn't who he'd hoped to see.
