So morning came by and although reading before bedtime did some good for the heart, the subconscious was a totally different picture because one did not get sleep at all and the brain was merely a slideshow of how the ART kit could go wrong in every possible scenario. Got out in the morning to go get the item in question and alas, and of course, the the seabbing went well and was over within minutes, which only further proves how the overthinking always gets trumped in the end.
Three in the afternoon in real time right now and we’re done with four Meets which could not have gone any better than they did 🥺 the energy and smiles and participation were ✨ these kids are stellar for coping and hanging on, considering it’s the first day of school and we’ve yet to meet in person. So, so grateful and thankful.
Off to chill for the rest of the afternoon and hopefully one will get decent sleep tonight!
So yesterday’s series of Meets ended with a staff farewell in the evening which left one pretty 🥺 but also inspired. Today’s stretch of seven meets ended with making the teacher cry after attempts to put together something with the kids at the last minute so we will call that a success 😅 Listening to these little ones reflecting on how they feel now in comparison to the start of OCL has gotten me a tad 😕 summer break has barely started and their little brains are already worrying about whether the next academic year will start virtually. Now that posts on Seesaw are checked off, one shall go catch up on the last episode of Law School ☝🏼
Note: the sleep pattern has gotten even odder (not that it hasn’t been already but just in a different way now). One only catches between one to three hours of apparently, at odd hours of the day of course (that last bit is pretty consistent still). We’ll see if this continues during the Break.
Done with a series of seven Meets today, with the last one being extra tearful 😢 two more days to go!
Skipped lunch and had a lie-down which turnout out into some full-on sleep after sneezing fits kept coming through six Meets 🤧time to go get some work done now before finally getting sustenance in. Also, final school week of the academic year! Time to crank up the list of stuff to do for Summer Break!
Half past eleven in the morning on a Monday and finally done with what seemed to be the slowest series of Meets thus far this season of OCL. And now we’re left with the mandatory Monday briefing plus the covid-19 address at 4 in the afternoon.
The weekend went by pretty chill and one notable thing is that yesterday was a good flare-up day (what an oxymoron). Things could turn out worse from here in out but it could also be better and so we will note that anyway and let it be a reminder that there will be good days even if we fall ten steps back again.
Half past 11 on a Friday morning and we’re done with this week’s series of Meets! That means it’s the start of the weekend! (Well, we have a collective assembly in the afternoon plus posts on Seesaw to comment on but as long as one doesn’t have to show up on screen in teacher mode, it’s 🎉😌 time!)
Only checked off one box on the personal to-do list yesterday, we’ll see if we can work on more today.
Also, we’re sticking with OCL for next week and hopefully, hopefully get to go back in the last week.
And so I met Gecko, who was as chill as ever. And I did pet him except I did it when he wasn’t looking so I don’t know if that counts but I’ll take it. We’ll move further next time.
In other news, I guess I can only seem to get proper sleep on alternate nights when I am entirely exhausted from the lack of sleep to care about the eczema flare-ups that make it seem as if I belong in the burn care unit. In real time at 2:17 in the afternoon now, I’d consider it a weekend already! Ploughed through 2.5 hours of back-to-back Meets in the morning, worked through Seesaw posts, squeezed in a teeny break to watch the Butter mv, getting back to Seesaw posts and now logging back into Meets again and awaiting the usual assembly on Friday. The plan is to clock in a nap break right after this before heading to the CC for the second dose of Pfizer.
