I have a feeling that Doom has gone off somewhere to be left alone for a while. She's so angry and moody right now, she's likely gone off into the In-Between or another universe and isn't answering calls or texts and just doesn't want to be heard from for a while. :/

I was thinking about Thursday, Sept, and Mariella and how Thursday probably "hides" in other parts of the Office instead of just the roof now so she doesn't jump off the roof when Sept finds her up there reading at 4AM, and now I'm thinking that Thursday has really made a game of it by hiding in a different spot every night. Except it's not much of a game because Sept can see her soul through all the walls and find her in like five seconds. She probably just comes up out of the floor and stares at her and Thursday pretends not to see her, or she tries to run away but Sept catches her with the gelatinous mass of her body and carries her off to bed while Thursday hangs there helplessly. x3

Actually, being linked to Mariella and disturbing her so much is probably what has led Thursday to being more careful and not jumping off the roof when Sept catches her up there reading instead of sleeping. xD

Silly as it sounds, Thursday does it because it's more of a game at this point, but I think once she realized that it was actually bothering Mariella - like, jolting her out of sleep and everything - she felt really bad and was more careful after that. Now she just tries to run back down the stairwell. Sept catches her every time, though. x3

Sept isn't really scolding her or punishing her or telling her what to do and Thursday knows it, she's just reminding her that she needs to rest because Thursday often forgets and doesn't sleep like she needs to. Sept is looking out for her. They've turned into it a sort of game at this point.

But yeah, I think Thursday has either moved to the Broom Closet to read, or she just tries really hard to remember not to jump off the roof. >>

I was trying to think of what trait Thursday and Mariella each got from each other for being literal soulmates, and I think I finally figured it out.

I already had Mariella's trait from Thursday figured out - it's that through the socket of her missing eye, she can "see"/feel what Thursday is experiencing at random times or during times of heightened emotional states. She can kind of "see" what Thursday is seeing, or get a sense of what is going on around her. So, like, if Thursday was lost somewhere, she'd be able to "see" her surroundings and get a sense of what she is feeling. It is both a blessing and a curse - it can be helpful in times of emergency, but it can be annoying (as you can imagine) during times when Mariella doesn't really need to be knowing what Thursday is up to, like if she is just sitting in the stairwell crying over a fictional character dying. xD The same works in reverse - Thursday can "see" and feel through Mariella's missing eye too, but it's not as strong going in this direction.

From Mariella, Thursday has gotten a sort of... therapy ability. It's kind of hard to put into words, but it's like, Thursday has a better understanding of how to help herself regulate her own emotions and boundaries, and also a better ability of helping others with the same thing. She wasn't really able to do that before. Mariella is very good at setting boundaries and also reaching out to people and empathizing with them in a healthy way. Gaining this trait from Mariella has really helped Thursday understand herself better, and helped her understand others better too. At least, it helps her with not taking this so personally and helps her to be able to move on from emotional upset quicker and easier.

It might feel a little unbalanced, like Thursday is getting more "benefits" out of it, but I think that's because in all technicality, Mariella's soul came from Thursday's. That's how the literal soulmates thing works. Whenever a Character in the Story dies, parts of their personality go into the meta ether to be formed into new Characters. When Thursday went to Dimension 42 and chose to die, part of her personality went into Mariella, thus making them literal soulmates. The same happened to Doomsday and James when Doom was in Dimension 42, although she managed to survive when she was kicked out and back into the living realm. It's the other way around with them, though - James gets the better end of the deal, but Doom is okay with that because he got the annoying part of her personality. xD

I have to say, if Doom ever knew of someone whose respawning process brought them pain/increased their chance of losing body parts or crippled them every time they came back... and she hated that person... there's a 100% chance she'd just sit there and kill that person repeatedly. And no, she wouldn't feel bad about it.

I don't talk about Thisday that often because he became a background character and I don't rp him often, but is everybody ready to know his voiceclaim? I posted about it a long time ago, but here he is. x)

Just had this terrible image of Doom seeking out one of the slasher zombies that are left roaming the planet, taking out their soul to set them free, and then popping all the pimples and blackheads on the body before burying it... I mean, she'd ask the person's soul for permission before doing it, but... she'd still do it. >>;
