ooookay so the japanese dub of this iconic Flinx scene just makes Kid Flash hitting on Jinx even more obvious LMAO.

some dialogues are recontextualized, such as him talking to Jinx and getting off subject because

"rather we chat and get to know each other than deal with those HIVE dweebs who barely listens to you anyway right?"—paraphrased but still, omg dudeeee.

"why even bother with me anyway?"

"because i care/i'm worried about/interested in you, how about a start over?" okay prince charming over here.

(i can read toddler-level japanese but i still need to use multiple translators like google/bing/deepl/etc for everyday convo, so sorry if you're a native speaker; please bear with me-)

I had a question regarding your stance on dubs. You've said they're fine as long as you are credited as the creators, but you've stated that "the animated dubs are off-limits" because you didn't want your animations repurposed. Does that mean only the animations with voice acting, such as the trial and the first Determinator fight are off limits, or all your animations as a whole, including the Determinator rematch and The Angel's Promise? I just want to clear things up before we tried this.

I'm gonna have to talk to the other Fireglobe folks. A big issue with dubs now, especially as we move into more video content, is we don't want the official channel being overshadowed, if that makes sense? We know it's been a long time since we've done a dub- a lot of that has to do with needing to recast, and we may need to do a more public recasting for some roles. It's a difficult line to draw, if that makes sense.
