#17 Drunk (reminder that if you are of legal age to drink, drink responsibly!)

Kris was strewn across the table in the mess hall, sandwiched in between Cain and Abel who were also drunk as hell. It was the night after a great victory and he couldn’t remember how he was convinced to drink himself drunk. All he remembered was Cain and Abel placing bets on who could hold their liquor the longest, and then being invited himself to take part. Soon after, he was singing, dancing and drinking until he collapsed on the table with the other two. Kris put his arms around his friends, “Y’know… thisss has been one helluva night, hic, and isss all tanks to you guyss.” He laughed and coughed into Cain shoulder, sitting up to take another swig of mead. Instead of meeting eyes with the golden liquid, Kris met eyes with Marth. Uh oh… He hiccuped again and set his mug down, looking up sheepishly at Marth, “H-Hello sire,” he saluted Marth lazily and started to have a giggle fit, “Didja want any?” Kris offered his half empty mug to Marth, “I’msorry that I didn’t save much fer you, heheheh… Didn’t think you was comin, sire.”

Kris wandered through the camp, weary from practicing for so long. His arm was sore, as he had been relying on magic too much, leaving his bronze sword much heavier than it used to be. Kris was reluctant to return to the Hades cabin, as it was empty most of the time, so he decided to take a walk around the camp. The sun sat low in the sky as the summer breeze danced through the camp, leaving a trail of memories gone by. Kris closed his eyes, remembering his first day here. If it wasn’t for him, he might not have made it… That day… The sky was red with blood, Kris remembered it clearly. They were running away. Shiida… Katarina… Marth… They were all running under the red sky, running to- Kris snapped out of his daydream as he felt a familiar hand on his shoulder, “H-Huh?”
