Interactive Eggs.

Since I was right by the waterfront the next logical place for me to visit was Fulton Street and South Street Seaport area.

The temporary residency of "Pirovano Egg" #egg147 which I spotted first from a distance (after that I knew I was on the right track finding others!),"Koi Egg" #egg120, "Conversations with the Sun" #egg61,"Egg White" #egg31, "ZOETREGG" #egg59 and "Twilight's last Gleaming" #egg2.

"Pirovano Egg" by Monica Pirovano, I visited twice. It was the first and the last egg I saw before leaving Fulton Street just as the Moon started showing it's pretty face to our side of the World and I was able to catch them both: the Moon and the Egg on my camera. It was a pretty sweet view. 

The atmosphere on Fulton street was truly cinematic and I took a few more shots just of the streets around me for my own personal photo collection.

"Koi Egg" by Matthew Weinstein #egg120, a friendly Gold Fish starring at you with her pretty eyes was sitting right outside Cannon's Walk - a hidden New York gem; public area opened in 1983. More details here:

  Inside Cannon's Walk I found two very cool interactive eggs:

"Conversations with the Sun" #egg61 by Trystan Bates is a beautiful kaleidoscope machine. 

By turning one of the wooden bolts on each side you peek through the holes also located on the opposite sides of the egg and watch the colors and shapes create before your eyes. 

Also as it says in the desciption:

"The piece is amorphic and in a constant state of transformation fueled by the heat and light of the sun and aided by the curiosity of the viewer."

"ZOETREGG" #egg59 created by Two One Two Design is an internal zoetrope operated by an external crank build into the pedestal of the egg.

As you turn the wheel slowly an image of an Elephant appears through the center slit, running and jumping jolly. I have met some other fellow egg hunters at the Cannon's Walk and we each helped each other with the crancking and spinning, documenting our fun.

"Egg White" was the next egg on the list and I over heard that other hunters had trouble finding it but to my surprise it was just around the corner stored in a building. 

I really liked the egg and thought it was very clever but didn't enjoy it's placement. 

With the spoon being so big, I thought it needed a bigger space to really showcase it.

I caught "Twilight's Last Gleaming" right when it started to get dark outside. It's beautiful red, blue and white colors where sparkling in the street light. 

A very elegant representation of the American flag and colors. Definitely one of my favorites.
