MC: Josh Edition Update #4

Hello, everyone! I am here with another update for you. I know there has been a lot of activity on my end with different platforms and content. For those of you that may be curious on what this means for the project, I’ve got some updates for you.

Are you a streamer? A youtuber? A comic artist? My first priority is to be a comic artist for you all. Streaming and making youtube videos, shorts, tiktoks, are all a side project so you can be a part of the process while waiting for the comic pages. It also allows me some down time between working on Josh Edition to spend time with you and learn each other.

What is your stream schedule and what do you intend to show? As of this post, I have decided to try and aim for this kind of Twitch stream schedule in USA Central Time Zone: 1) Sundays - 8PM CST - Art content stream: This is for concept work, viewers suggestions, and comic pages. 2) Mondays - 8PM CST - Minecraft Game Stream: This is for playing casually with hardcore worlds, mods, SMPs, and spending time with each other. I may also discuss Josh Edition lore or give hints and clues to what to expect with the project! 3) Saturdays - 8PM CST YOUTUBE VIDEO drop (experimental): This is a new one, but I am working with an editor to try and get videos made to drop on Youtube the following Saturday after a Monday game stream so that for those of you that aren’t truly interested in the gameplay or miss it can have an abridged version for fun to enjoy in your feed.

When is the comic going to be released? That is a solid question and I wish I had a date for you all, but you have to keep in mind that I am holding down a job that takes priority over this content creation since this is done as a passionate hobby. That out of the way, I can say it will be very soon as I just need to finish up a few more reference sheets, concept art and already have opening scripts written and ready to become comics. I do apologise that it’s been so slow. Believe you, me, I want them coming out now!

You have mentioned a Discord server before. Will that ever be made public? I do have an official Minecraft: Josh Edition Discord server but it is not yet ready for public release. I am still unsure if I will make it public since I am so new to all this and still gathering a team to help me out. If and/or when it is ready, I will let you know!

Is there anything I can do support you as a content creator? Yes! You can spread the word by giving likes, reblogs, comments, favourites, coming to streams and/or chatting to make yourself known, and just being patient with me. All of those things will help me out dearly!

MC: Josh Edition Update #1

thank you for enduring the slow progress on Minecraft: Josh Edition. there are a few more character sheets i need to get out, some tester drawings, and then a bit more script to write. once those are complete, the comics will begin proper production, starting with the remake of the very first one. i hope that you will like the story and my take on the vague game lore as we follow Josh and his comrades.

here is an unofficial synopsis of the comic:

‘Josh wakes in the overworld with no one but his vague memories for company. when he sleeps, he feels a presence urge him to do something, but it’s unclear exactly what he needs to do. it doesn’t help that Josh doesn’t remember much of who he was before waking, only that he appears to be the last of his kind. With the help of his unlikely comrades—a Piglin Prince that doesn’t desire to take his place as King of the Nether—and a mysterious villager that knows more than he lets on about the villagers’ and illagers’ secrets—they band together to complete Josh’s journey and rediscover who he once was and why he has awakened now.’

JE Update #7

Hello everyone!

I do apologise for the slow updates. I really dislike not being clear on what is happening so I wanted to take a moment to give you all a response.

I was in a mentorship program that took up a lot of my time and slowed my progress quite significantly. However, that program is now finished and I'm back to just the one mentorship with my personal mentor again. I'll be taking up more classes here soon with them that will be a little more unforgiving but it should be much easier on my workload.

Secondly, I want to be honest with you all. I am overwhelmed by social media, streaming, and youtube. I know many people want to break out into those fields and gain an audience (and I am super thankful for that one I have found in all of you) but trying to be a streamer/youtuber on a schedule is actually impeding my progress on Josh Edition more than helping it. Due to this, I will no longer have a consistent schedule for those things (specifically youtube and twitch) and will just do them as I have the motivation to do so. I am very sorry about that and will not be upset if you wish to unsubscribe to either social channel. My goal with all this has never been to grow as a streamer or youtuber as my line of work, I want to focus on producing my art and the JE comics. This will lighten my mental load and allow me more time to think about when I want to upload a video or perform a stream. The stress has, admittedly, put me behind the schedule I wanted to stick to.

Going forward, I want you all to be aware of my intentions with this project. The JE comics will always be free (and modestly censored for social media due to the fact that JE does have some themes may be unsuitable for younger demographics). The uncensored version will only be available through the paid tier of my patreon, but the censored version will always be free and will not change the story.

In summary, this is what is happening moving forward: - Twitch streams and Youtube videos will upload as I am comfortable to perform them. It may not be as consistent, but they will still occur. - Previous art mentorship is finished and I am beginning a new one with my personal art mentor that will be more flexible on my time. - JE comics are still in the making. - JE art will still be posted as usual.

Again, I appreciate your patience with me and this project. Thank you for your support! I am confident these changes will help move things along better and get me back on the track I want to be. I'll see you all again soon!

MC: Josh Edition Update #5

Hello, everyone! Just a quick update today. Yesterday I managed to wrangle most of my mods and beta readers to sit and go over scripts with me. The good news is that those scripts were approved! Everything is going accordingly which is just great! I’ll have to see with my mods if it would be a good idea to hold art streams where I’m working on the comics. Some are on board with it but others are thinking it should be a surprise. Either way, you’ll be the first to know when those are started now that the first couple of scripts are approved. MC: Josh Edition Update #3

hello to all the newcomers! thank you so much for the recent follows, comments, favs, reblogs, and likes! while i did want to start pushing the comics out at the beginning of the year, the process is taking a bit longer than i thought it would to finish up the story, the lore and the designs. i know it seems like i haven’t made as much, but that doesn’t mean i haven’t been working on those things! i just can’t show some of it due to lore and i don’t want to spoil certain plot points too early. that being said, much of that work is unreleased publicly at this time. i’m very sorry about that. 😮‍💨

I’m working as quickly as i can to start get these comic pages out. i’m actually quite nervous! i do appreciate your patience, tho. it means a lot! i get that i don’t have 100s of you to worry about like some other content creators do, but that doesn’t mean i value your time and interest any less. it means a lot to me that you are here and waiting for the content. so, thank you so much!

as soon as i have an idea of when these will begin posting, i’ll def make an announcement for you. but until then, just a reminder: all of this content will be free to view until the very last page. i have no plans to make it exclusive or put it behind some kind of subscription service. it’s free. it will remain free.
