It wasn’t every day you saw the person who had turned your life on it’s head
Connie hadn’t been expecting to run into Peridot again anytime soon. Preferably never at all. She’d been through a whole lot of pain the last time she’d seen the green Gem, and she didn’t want to go through it again. She almost instantaniously took a few steps back.
She had a feeling the Homeworld had done this to her for a reason. That Peridot had done this to her for a reason. And if they were coming to finish that reason, then she didn’t want to be there. She was here to fight for her friends, not for... That. And she was afraid of any danger she could be put in if she disagreed. Sure, she could defend herself a little with a sword. She’d been trained, after all. But was that really enough to face a full-out Gem? It wasn’t like Connie could match up to those powers... Yet.
And worst of all? She was completely alone. Just her and Peridot. No Gems. No Steven. No help. If she was getting out of this, she was getting out of this on her own,
“...What do you want?”
