Traditional Greek coffee "ellinikós kafés" is a strong brew style of coffee and have a specific blend beans. They need to be blended in a certain way, roasted at specific temperatures and used in specific ratios. Key Word: SPECIFIC. Now I found out the hard way... the coffee grounds are normally served in the cup but need to be allowed to settle. Then you SIP the coffee SLOWLY. The brewing process requires a specific type of coffee pot called a “briki”. You can have the coffee plain, strong, light, sweet, strong sweet, light sweet ... 45 different ways. The briki is immersed in the sand which allows the heat to be evenly distributed. Sand is moved around the briki and once the coffee reaches the right temperature you can see the coffee rise to the top. #GreekCoffee #MadeInSand #OffTheBucketList #Travel #TrySomethingNew #Wanderlust #Briki #SipSlowly #EllinikósKafés #Mykonos #Greece #Europe #EU #SalientTravels https://www.instagram.com/p/B2GEKtUlQdY/?igshid=duk09d4mc6is
