{ setting sail once more }

                                A character is to their blog                                         as a pirate is to his ship and                                                  a pirate needs his bloody ship.

This pirate has decided to come back, but with strict rules to be upheld on his ship. Anyone who doesn't obey them? Gets cut. Simple as that. He did not enjoy being stripped of his darkest parts in order to please other players before, so now he won't be bending so easily again. Granted, that bend happened over quite some time, but it did its fair bit of damage, as y'all could tell in my departure from this blog. The result? Many have been unfollowed, and several threads have been completely deleted. Anything he was not comfortable with and felt he'd grown too out of his true nature in, was dumped off into the wide abyss. 

                     Another words... We are now a semi-private ship.

Explanation below the cut.

Now, this is no ones fault save for my own - I'll be the first to admit it. I should have dug my heels in and kept Killian as IC as possible, but being the people pleaser I am... regardless, that all stops now. I thought a permanent hiatus would be best, but after watching someone I admire greatly go private to save her muse, I wished I would have done the same. So very desperately. Especially as Killian kept poking his head out here and there. He and I agreed on one thing though, that if we came back, things had to change; drastically. I attempted to make a new blog that would be entirely private, but even as I tried to set it up, Killian was adamant that that wasn't what he wanted. It didn't feel right to him. Like a captain trying to take charge of a new ship when his old one was capable of being fixed up.

So... we fixed up the ship. 

First and foremost, the rules have gotten a face lift. This time, when someone clearly hasn't read the rules before messaging us/interacting with us? We won't be playing with them. Aka if someone mentions Hook being madly in love with Emma - auto red flag. If you've read the rules, you'll know why.

Secondly, we're going to be keeping a cleaner dash this time. I followed wayyyy too many accounts before, most of whom I'd never interacted with. This number has been dramatically cut, and chances are if we continue not interacting, or you repeatedly do not cut posts and clog the dash, or something else that just makes it awkward for us to be following you, we may very well unfollow you. I'm deeply sorry about this, I promise it's nothing personal, we just... need a clean dash to make the Captain happy.

Third and very importantly; as of right now I have 0 drafts. I cleaned everything out when I decided to go on a perma-hiatus. I also deleted a lot of threads that Killian just wasn't happy with in the slightest. So, if you would like to continue our thread(s), and I have not deleted them (just check /tagged/yoururl), message me and let me know that you want to continue it. Otherwise, it won't be replied to. If you want to start something new and have at least something in mind that we can start off of and branch out with (ie something more than 'I wanna plot!') please let me know that too! Something tells me I will be down to a much smaller list of threads once all of this is said and done so yeah.

Lastly, because of the starting from scratch scenario, my verses page is cleaned out save for the main verses - and I will be starting over a new relationships page - but this time it'll be all one page rather than a new page for each verse. 

I know all of these changes likely won't be well-received, and some may be hurt by being unfollowed/deleted in all of this and you guys will never know how truly sorry I am for that. I knew when I began working on possibly coming back that it wouldn't be an easy thing to do, and it really hasn't been. What's been done however, has been necessary and I'm really feeling so much better about being on this account again. With its one year mark just having passed, and Killian having come to life more and more as we worked together to figure out a middle ground we'd both be happy with... it's very exciting to think I might be able to play him again.

Also I'd really love to say a special thank you to those of you who have been so incredibly supportive during all of this mess. I'm actually a little astonished at how many of you didn't unfollow me after my hiatus notice, and how many of you have continued to be wonderful friends despite me not being on this account anymore. Thank you so very much. None of this has been easy, but without you? It would have been impossible. 

                   Here's to setting sail once more,                             and bringing the pirate back to life.
