HEADS UP THIS IS A BIG POST, PRESS THE KEEP READING IF YOU WANT TO HEAR A LORE DUMP ABOUT AN OC MADE FOR LORE REGARDING A DW HC BLOG
K-Anon is.. something. Bony arms, a Rhysmuth-esque bodily structure, a paper crown and tail (ending in a plastic cup oddly enough), this thing is surprisingly cordial with whomever he speaks with. Caring for those natural and decidedly less so (whether machine or otherworldly), and able to create entire planets, the Keeper of Anomalous Secrets is one of the best people you'll find around DWHC HQ. He also seems to know quite a bit about the Monster World (possibly explaining why his physical form takes after the Crystal Boss so much), but we'll ignore that for now.
//k-anon uses he/it! important to note. usually "he" is used more\\

REGIONS OF THE KANONSPHERE!
i wasn't kidding when it said it was "little planet-esque", like 3 of the regions are basically zones ripped right out from sonic cd so anyway
most of the regions are 1 place, but for some (i.e Grand Quarry and Treetop Tropics) there are 2 parts, based off of the past and good future versions of the zone they're based off of. this only goes for the aforementioned regions that are just. the zones. except the wacky workbench one but shhhh
ok anyhoo
TREETOP TROPICS (based off of Palmtree Panic)
eeyup, this sure is a palmtree panic knock off! the good future part (which will be referred to as Palm-Leafed Paradise going forward) is mostly a technological paradise, and sometimes tends to lean heavily on frutiger eco vibes. the past part, Triassic Tropics is definitely a tad more dangerous than Palm-Leafed Paradise, considering all the cliffs n stuff. the weird ecosystem and the rules of this terra allows all sorts of old plants n stuff to thrive without fear of getting screwed over by how the planet beneath the Kanonsphere is now. I'd say that Triassic Tropics has a more... archaic ancient jungle vibe, if you get what i mean by that.
GRAND GROTTO (based off of Quartz Quadrant)
(ignore sonic in the above images)
yeah, i'd say this sorta looks like quartz quadrant. this is also where K-Anon chooses to spend a majority of his time, almost like it belongs amongst all the crystals and geodes.
the good future part, Dreamlike Digsite, is an excavation project near the past part (which i'll get to after taking about this part) that's trying to be eco-friendly, and also get all sorts of valuable rocks and stones inside of the quarry. it's a bit of a mining town, i'll admit. might be heavier on the frutiger eco than Palm-Leafed Paradise all things considered, since well, y'know, attempting to be eco friendly with a swamp right next to it, that stuff.
the past part, Malachite Mire, is mostly unexplored, all that people really know is "swamp with a lot of rocks in it", only K-Anon actually knows what's in there... even more valuable rocks than what's been found in the Dreamlike Digsite, but you're gonna have to REALLY dive deep for them.
TOYBOX TOWER (based off of Wacky Workbench)
(again, ignore sonic in the image above, i tried to find a good image where he wasn't present. i could only manage that for treetop tropics.)
this is the only cd-inspired region to not have a past version attached, and even then this is more of a building than anything. Toybox Tower is, well, a tower, one that spans for FIFTEEN FLOORS, all having some sort of fun gimmick. usually K-Anon hosts a challenge to get to the top of the tower annually, winner getting to take home a trophy made out of gemstones the cosmic being found from Malachite Mire. Usually it's the artificial people he made to inhabit the planetoid participating, but sometimes he invites people from the world below.
(i'm too lazy to come up with each floor's gimmick, so maybe later.)
NIMBUS NEBULA (based off of... Cloud Island/Mirror Faerie Island?)
one of the only two regions to not be based off of a zone from Sonic CD, but instead an island from My Singing Monsters! Cloudy Carriage is an area high in the sky of the Kanonsphere, in fact you can even spectate the Toybox Tower climb from here! it's a lot like walking on clouds, because you ARE walking on clouds. seriously. just as well there's these comically large paper birds ready to save you from a fall, just in case! that papier mache-ish sun isn't real by the way.
Closer to the ground is the recently-discovered Misty Maze, a... well, maze of clouds and oddly enough, mushrooms. They say whatever's fabled is in there, but nobody's really bothered to check. Either because of fear or disinterest. Also, more often than not, people who go in never quite return the same, so there's that.
Nimbus Nebula, due to being in the sky, can be found around the outside of Toybox Tower, and above the edges of Malachite Mire and Triassic Tropics, a light amount going above Dreamlike Digsite.
again, like Toybox Tower, there is no "past" part. Y'know, because it's not based off of something from Sonic CD this time.
GLIMMERING GARDENS (Based off of Party Island)
Amongst the vast ocean on the Kanonsphere, you may find, a gloriously gigantic greenhouse, overgrown with all the plants imaginable, some earthly, some unknowable, some from this very world. Chrysanthemums? As many as you'd like. Ancient flowers from the Triassic Tropics? Countless of those as well. Truly a marvel of agriculture, is it not?
again, like Toybox Tower, there is no "past" part. Mainly because I don't think I could weave in a part of it based on Mirror Light.
//that about wraps everything up! enjoy the show!\\
