It was early morning and Clu had to be rushed into emergency surgery for a blockage in his heart. Carey was paged to answer any questions he could before they operated. It was hours and Carey hadn’t heard any news on his brothers condition which made the man worried. “This teen’s heart is by far the worst I’ve seen in years.” The surgeon said aloud as he continued to work on the teen but soon alarms started going off alerting them the boy was about to code. “Crash cart stat.” He yelled and everyone went into action doing what was needed to keep the boy alive and in stable condition. “Remember this is Carey’s little brother we can’t lose him.” The surgeon reminded everyone. Soon the alarms stopped and things returned to normal. “Good job everyone. He’s definitely a fighter.” They continued to work on the boy repairing everything they needed to while he was under. “What the hell has this poor teen been through?” One of the nurses questioned taking note every scar and broken bone that had never been fixed correctly. The surgeon simply shook his head at her question before sewing up the teen’s wrist where the catheter had been inserted to fix the blockage. While there they took note that when he was stable enough they would have to fix his leg but for now they cleaned it and wrapped it. “Alright let’s get him to ICU and talk to Carey. They started cleaning up and getting Clu ready to be transferred to ICU. The surgeon who had Known Carey since the man had started working at the hospital when to update him on Clu’s condition. “I’m going to be honest with you we almost lost him.” He started sighing lately before continuing, “He’s a fighter for sure but there’s gonna be a lot of new adjustments for him, Carey. He’s going to have to have supplemental oxygen his lungs and heart are so scared he will eventually need a transplant for both. What did you say happened to him?” The surgeon asked to which Carey sighed heavily, “Our father happened to him. We’ve got it under control now.” Carey chewed on his lip as he looked at the doctor before him. “ I hope so for your brother’s sake. He’s eighteen and he shouldn’t have to deal with all of what we noticed in the O.R.” With that the doctor left and Carey waited a bit to go and see the teen. He called his sisters and Keeley to keep them all updated. Now it was a waiting game to see if the teen would wake up.
