LOCATION: grocer’s groceries TIME: afternoon AVAILABILITY: closed, @ofhvrricanes
Jake was already used to his daughter being by his side and then suddenly sprinting away the second he turned away to grab something while doing the groceries, she was indeed a very sneaky four-year-old, but that didn’t mean it still didn’t caught him off guard whenever she’d do so. Turning away to grab a pack of rice, Jake instantly had to drop it inside the shopping cart as when he heard the noise of her shoes tapping away on the floor. “Eleanor, I swear,” He says in a stern tone though that only causes her to giggle, stopping nearby a woman and who he assumes to be her son. “I’m so sorry about her, she’s in that really energetic phase and —” He starts to apologize but only to cut himself short once he finally takes notice of who the woman was. “Lili, oh, hi.” Jake plasters a smile on his face, trying not to allow the surprise to linger on his features for too long. Fuck, that was awkward. “I didn’t see that it was you. It’s... been some time. How are you?”
