   “I don’t have one of those...” the soldier replied, glancing up at his green haired clustermate. Elena’s costume party had resulted in a mixed bag of enthusiasm from the others, he was actually sort of looking forward to it. “Len told me to dress as a bed sheets ghost.” he added, though the thieves suggestion seemed more of a joke than anything, a part of him wanted to give it a go just to see the others reaction. “But I don’t have one of those either.” HYDRA wasn’t the type to provide their weapons comfort.

           Maggie wasn’t sure she should be sharing any information with the kid, but she still did. She was working on winning her trust so. “Just your file. We want to know what Lillian did exactly.” They knew some things, but not all. Taking Linnaea with her had also not been her idea. But her boss had said maybe she could be of help. Or, you know, escape. Even if the DEO were a part of the operation, Maggie still worried. “You wouldn’t happen to know where those are kept, right?”

She didn’t make eye contact with the person that approached her, instead just focusing on taking a long swig from the bottle of whiskey she had by the bar. Still in the very little clothing she had to wear for the night and clearly not enough customers around to make her really feel like putting on her normal happy persona when working. “You must be new here.” She said bluntly once she let the bottle hit the counter.

   He complied, not by force or command but for the simple fact that he trusted her. He trusted all of his cluster more than he trusted his own self, they were a welcome addition of some stability to his muddled mind, and a place he could escape to when the horror of his own body were to much to bear. 

   They’d been at it again, the scientist and techs. He wasn’t exactly sure what it was this time -- they never bothered to tell him, all he knew was that it hurt enough to find himself in agony at Lorna’s feet. 

   “ I’m sorry” he breathed slowly, dark hair falling across his face as he lay against her thigh. She didn’t need this, didn’t need him turning up like a wreck when she had her own wars to fight, nevertheless he stayed, unable to give up the touch of kindness when he’d been so use to only pain.
