Imelda sighed, nodding in acceptance of the apology and the promise that she would not be wandering into the woods again. Though saying ‘without permission’ was a little cause for concern, but Imelda did not think Luna was the type of girl to trick someone into giving permiso....and she would not push the matter now.

“Bien,” She concluded, “You are not un gato, Luna, but curiosity can still get you very hurt if you are not careful. The woods are not....are not a place to wander, no matter how tempting it might be, especially for someone with a mind como la tuya” Luna was naturally curious, explorative, interested; all cosas buenas, sí, but if she was not more careful and did not exercise más restraint...

It had been so long since he had seen her. ❝ Leave your trunk by the door, I'll take it up to your room later ❞ Xenophilius turned hazy blue eyes to look down at his daughter ━ the only reason he was still alive. ❝ Now tell me ━ you must tell me everything !! ❞ the eccentric man said as he ushered the girl to sit down on the sofa.

               ❝ H ━ how was it?! Did you enjoy your stay there? ❞

       THE PAIR ARE AN ODD SIGHT TO BEHOLD ;   a towering mass of stormy,  swirling obsidian trailed by a seraphic,  smaller figure who appears increasingly out of place as they descend further into the dungeons,  the air turning frigid.  regardless,  the fair-haired ravenclaw exudes her usual fairy-like delight with every skipping step.  aside from a discerning look her way,  he does not acknowledge her remark any further.  but he has carefully listened to the response he’s quietly anticipated. 

he knows her,  perhaps,  better than most ever can,  and confidently expects that she is being unapologetically honest.  her words,  by nature,  are a direct insight to her fantastic,  ethereal perceptions that in turn,  make her seem otherworldly herself.  and in his own treacherous world,  where pure,  unfiltered honesty is a rarity,  she has become someone to appreciate on occasional evenings,  even if it’s just for a little while.   they continue on,  approaching his office door,  and after what seems to be a long enough pause for luna to assume he wouldn’t provide her with yet another answer,  he does finally respond as the office door swings open with a flick of his wand :

❛    tea would suffice.  you assume too much if you think i keep a store of every treat you may impulsively desire.   ❜    (  even as he chastises her,  he’s made a mental note to conjure up some pudding once they’ve settled.  )
