ilanrel does not take kindly to those who pry their nose where it does not belong. he came to this forest for solitude, for PEACE && QUIET a space free from the scrutiny of others. he does not know this man's intentions, but he has felt his presence one too many times for it to be a COINCIDENCE.

the beast's hackles raise, fur bristling on end as the f l a m e s begin to lick at his maw and feet. It is almost instantaneous, the way such a large creature whips around and pounces at incredible speeds through the undergrowth. large, scalding paws make contact with the broad shoulders of his quarry, forcing the stranger onto his back upon the ground. the creature's maw parts, large teeth bared as a deafening roar is bellowed right into his face. his breath is hot, too hot, and his claws dig threateningly into armour.

❛ who are you ?? ❜ the voice seems to echo around them through the trees ; gruff and unwelcoming.

elthorn has never been in skyhold's dungeons before, he's never had a reason to be, but now he's supposedly being held on accounts of being a SUSPECT in ren's death at adamant. murder. whatever they're calling it. && truthfully, yes, it was him ; but elthorn knows better than to outright admit his crimes. so he sits within the cell, on the cold ground with his back against the wall. silent. all aenwyn receives is an unidentifiable look from cold eyes through his eyelashes.

sender looks receiver in the eye as they shoot / stab / kill someone. basically ren killing a venatori while glaring at elthorn. :`)

blood

the docks of minrathous are crawling with venatori, each && every member of the veilguard fighting tooth && nail following the attack on the shadow dragons' hideout. conveniently enough, however, many of the adversaries seem to subtly avoid engaging elthorn in combat. it isn't enough for anyone else to notice, but elthorn has felt eyes on him CONSTANTLY since joining this. . . team. its ren, of course perhaps he is still bitter about how they parted from the inquisition. as elthorn plunges his daggers DEEP into the throat of a swordsman he dares glance over ; he locks eyes immediately with ren, cold glare met with fire as the warrior tears the venatori from this mortal plane. there is definitely BITTERNESS clear as day, but ren has no solid proof to accuse him of anything.

elthorn's face never bears a smile, nor a particularly light expression, yet SOMEHOW when he hears ren's voice his features fall. he exhales deeply, perplexed, before slowly turning his head to stare up at the elf. it's true he is, in fact, covered in blood. this time, however, its mostly darkspawn. && he doesn't even offer a response, simply ROLLS HIS EYES.
