TRIGGER WARNINGS: Death & parental death.
Penelope was born in Ogunquit, Maine, where her mother owned a little crystal shop and her father ran a small in by the beach, right beside their own home.
( DEATH + PARENTAL DEATH TW )The first four years of her life were as peaceful as can be. Her parents were both part of covens, but never really involved her in anything due to her age. Then, it happened, and they both ended up getting killed. Penelope never got too many details about their deaths, and as much as she doesn’t wish for any details, she feels the need to know what happened to them; who exactly is responsible. She needs more than just humans and purebloods to blame; she needs people.
She was raised by her grandmother, who had had her mother when she was quite young, and is therefore still alive to this day. The two of them moved around the States a lot whilst Penelope was growing up, and it was then that the brunette formed her roots within books. They were her constant companions; those who could never leave her for she had retained their stories, and who she could never leave. Friends came and went --- a downside of moving around so much --- but books? Books were forever.
It was that love of books that led her to become a librarian later on in life. She actually got a masters in library studies, and even considered getting a PHd in something related, but ended up being too excited to start working as a librarian. She chose to move to New Orleans after university, because she felt like it was... Right. She wasn’t sure what it was, but something gave her the impression that that was the place she needed to be.
She never forgot about what happened to her parents, and why it all happened to them. Her grandmother had refused to teach her the way of their family’s witches, too afraid for her granddaughter, but Penelope is not okay with that. Ever since she started university, ever since she’s been further away from her grandmother, she’s been doing a lot of research into everything, and she’s built a pretty solid bank of information.
What she wants, more than anything, is to get a coven. And then, revenge. At first, she was afraid she was driven by spite, but recently, she’s realized that the force that drives her the most is the need for justice.
( RODENT MENTION ) She’s a librarian, but far from a library mouse. She’s a natural born leader, and it’s just... Easy to listen to her, due to the fact that she’s so sure of herself, sure, but also fair and just. She’s very well-spoken, and has no difficulty making her thoughts come acrosse clearly (which I cannot relate to tbh ogiroigeroigjeroijg).
Kind of has a hot temper, though she’s gotten better at controlling it ever since she moved to New Orleans.
Her grandmother’s still constantly on the move, and communication with her is far from easy, so Penelope’s started to wonder about all of that, to be honest.

Leon was raised in a family and pack of werewolves. He doesn’t know when the first person was bitten but he knows as far as he can remember it was a gene passed down generation to generation. Leon was unlucky enough to get such a gene.
He had loving parents and a younger sister. His pack died in a “fire” which Leon knew was a coverup for an attack, no way that many wolves could have been taken out otherwise. Leon and his younger sister survived the attack. Leon took his sister, only sixteen himself, and brought her to the city to raise himself refusing to be split from his last living blood. He choose New Orleans because it was rumored there were more like them there. He hoped to settle in with a new pack. However, that didn’t happen.
He worked during the days and went to night school to get his GED. Although not the most scholarly Leon is really good with his hands. He works at an auto shop paying for his sister’s university tuition. When money is tight he is known to do dubious under the table jobs to get the bills paid.
He is both straightforward and rough around the edges making Leon difficult to be around at times. He doesn’t like admitting when he is wrong and has a hard time opening up to others. He is fiercely protective and at times, foolishly stubborn. Overall, he is a decent guy who was put in a not so decent circumstances.
He tolerates other species and does not hold any strong feelings for anyone other than hunters, who he suspects murdered his pack. Leon hates being a wolf and the burden its put on both him and his sister.

Matthew didn’t know the world as anything other than what it was. There was always the naturally brimming frustration with the status quo. He is very aware that he cannot do anything about what has happened and that the purebloods were far too strong for any one mortal alone. He hates them, constantly searching for a way to make it through a world where he has become the weakest link.
He has a small family. His mother was unmarried and young when she left him with his grandparents. He was raised in a strict but loving household, skyrocketing to the top of his classes and studied in the US on scholarship during his university days. He never permanently moved back to Korea, moving his grandparents to the states with him and opted to make a home in New Orleans of all places.
(While still a citizen of Korea he completed the mandatory military enlistment that is required of all males. He was trained as a combat medic and quickly climbed the ranks propelling him into a career in medicine. After which, he moved to the states full-time and got citizenship. His 20s were a constant back and forth from the states to Korea and back again, finally settling down when his grandparents agreed to move with him.)
He works alone and often does not kill unless he knows he can get away with it, without having it being tracked back to him. Considering his targets are often stronger than him, Matthew rarely is able to take out any supernaturals. For now, he focuses mostly on being able to protect himself – living with strong prejudices against purebloods, vampires, werewolves, and even witches. He utilizes the skills he learned in the military.
Matthew’s personality is aloof, passive aggressive at times, and he is certainly prickly. He can be difficult to be around, however, despite talking a tough game he is squeamish when it comes to hurting anyone or anything. He does not like the idea of anyone suffering despite knowing he shouldn’t care about strangers who probably wouldn’t give a fuck if he lived or died. He does have a softer side that is often reserved for his grandmother and grandfather, both of whom he sees like parents and salvation. It’s one of the many reasons he wants to get rid of the supernaturals and restore balance, giving them the life they deserve and not as bottom feeders just trying to survive.

TRIGGER WARNINGS: Drugs, obsessive kind of “love”.
( DRUGS MENTION )She was born in Montréal at the end of the fifties. She was a teen in the seventies, and took full advantage of it. Sex, drugs and rock&roll; she did it all. She especially loved music, and started working at the record store closest to her home as soon as she turned sixteen and her parents accepted to let her work.
She breathed music. Loved helping customers finding little gems they wouldn’t have discovered otherwise, and loved trying to guess a customer’s favourite genre as soon as they came in, going as far as betting on it with other employees. She won most of the time.
When she saw her enter the record store, one night in March 1978, she fell head over heels. The other woman may have seemed a few years older, but Prue still fell hard, and fast. Prue hadn’t followed the whole pureblood thing too closely; what with caring mostly (and almost only) about music, but it was clear that she wasn’t human. Long story short, two weeks later, Prue was a vampire, and the woman had vanished without leaving a trace.
( OBSESSIVE KIND OF “LOVE” ) Prue scoured the city for her. Then the country. Then, the States. Finally, she ended up settling down in New Orleans. She was tired of looking, tired of being so pathetically in love, and mostly, she hoped that if she stayed in one place, she’d have a bigger chance of seeing the other woman again. Truly, she knew nothing about her, but she still felt in love. It was unhealthy, especially considering the fact that she had barely gotten to know the older woman back then, but Prue couldn’t help it.
Prue is, to put it lightly, a chaotic disaster. She loves music, and that’s probably the most constant thing about her. Though she may be kind of stuck in the seventies, fashion-wise, she actually loves new music just as much as she loves old music. She also strongly loves a few movies, including Le Fabuleux destin d’Amélie Poulain, Moulin Rouge, Across the Universe & Rocketman. Basically, quite musical movies. Still, they’re literally the only movie she watches.
Her bloodlust is............ Unpredictable. It’s always there, but how she controls it highly depends on her moods, which are easily changeable. She changes from one mood to another in a matter of second, and that makes everything about her unpredictable.
Loves pleasure above all, to be honest. Well, music first, actually. Then, pleasure. Though music does bring her pleasure, so... Anyway! Loves being happy, loves having fun, loves laughing, and loves creating chaos. She loves feeling free, and is therefore a bit “yikes” at vampires often being the purebloods’ soldiers, like....... She does NOT like being told what to do, not even a little bit. However, she’s like? Not against the whole thing either? She just wants a lot of freedom, but not enough to be mad about it all.
Can seem a bit....... Intense, at times? She’s either too intense, or too careless. There’s pretty much no in between when it comes to her.
Bisexual af (like all my charas, to be honest, because I am whomst I am).
Lowkey misses her family; her parents are still alive, and so are her siblings, but doesn’t want to expose them to how and what she is. Like, she used to be a bit odd, but it’s a whole new set of weird now.
At the moment, she’s the main guitarist of a tiny lil vampire band that’s just starting out, and they’re mostly doing covers at the moment, though they’re also slowly working on their own stuff.

I’m not gonna go into a lot of details into his backstory, because I’d like to discuss it with the other people who play other Floreses first, but! I will possibly (most likely) be putting up a bio eventually!
He’s a little shit, to be honest. Like, I adore him, but......... He’s a little shit.
Can be both a disaster who watches trashy movies and acts like a mess, and also be super pretentious? Especially when it comes to art, decoration, clothes, etc.
He’s really into art. Like, really, really, really into art. He’s always been, and always will be. He’s even a patron to a couple of artists, and that’s far from a new thing for him. I mean, considering where he comes from and the eras he went through, that makes sense, but yes!
Honestly? Doesn’t have anything against other species, including humans, because he mostly values people on how interesting they are to him, how talented they are artistically and/or whether or not they bring him pleasure in any way (which sounds sexual tm but does not only refer to sexual things tm); he doesn’t really care what species they are, and tends to think of himself as better than other people, but mostly because of his pretentiousness, and not because he’s a pureblood.
He honestly loves being a little shit. He loves provoking people, especially his family. Is it for attention, is it just because he finds it funny? Only he knows, and even then, I’m not 100% sure he really gets it.
Very reckless! The kind to do something before thinking about it, which leads to a lot of consequences he has to deal with. Quite skilled at running away from said consequences, though.
Doesn’t like being mocked/judged/etc and can become quite, um, aggressive when that happens? But like, he especially doesn’t like when other purebloods treat him like that, so it’s often battles he’s not likely to win which is funny to me, but not to him.
Loves pleasure a whole lot, to be honest.
