Hey, I was wondering if you had any plans to continue writing in the “our family of choice” series? I totally understand if you’re too busy, things are super crazy right now! But I figured I’d let you know that I really love that series and enjoyed reading it over quarantine!

Hi, anon. I appreciate the props for the quarantine reading. To answer your question: yes and no.

I have other stories I’d like to tell in the series, and I’ve attempted to sit down and write and nothing flows. Honestly, I probably need to re-read my own series to find that voice again.

I’ve also had a shit last six months in my personal life. Beyond the global pandemic, threats to American Democracy, racial injustices and police violence, severe economic downturn, and the world being on fire and/or devastated by storms because climate change isn’t a thing...

So yes, I would like to add more to the series and to all my WIP. Whether or not I find the motivation and inspiration is another thing. 2020 is a year of absolute fucking suck.

My apologies...

I know I’ve received a number of messages asking about my writing and when I’ll be updating.

I am here and I am still alive if my occasional reblogging doesn’t already suggest that. I started a new job a little over a month ago and I’m a dumbass who is still working my old job, too. So I work 40-56 hours a week, six or seven days. Suffice to say, I am a worthless sack of human when I’m home.

Also, there’s this really, absolutely lovely person who’s stolen my attention. I do owe her a story, though, so I’ll sit down and work on that soon. Hopefully.

But I haven’t forgotten about my stories or our family of choice.

In the meantime, go harass @wayhaughtficrec or read Get Lost (again) by @sensitive-pigeon

“That was one time and you were supposed to be in charge of the waffle maker.”

Belle wants to make breakfast for her moms and enlists Alice's help. She's not sure if she would have been better off with or without it.

BRUH what if snowball fight

fox in the snow (where do you go?)

Summary: Belle pulls at the knit toque on her head, trying to tug it over her ears, which are starting to sting in the cold. She waits, kicking at a pine cone on top of the snow. It sails down the hill, broken apart by the force of her kick and already brittle from the wintry weather.

She isn’t particularly sure that they should be doing this. Her mama told them to stay out of trouble because she had to run into town to drop something off at the station. She said she trusted them not to do something that Wynonna would do because they’re smarter and more responsible than that.

Does building a toboggan obstacle course on the steepest hill on the homestead count as smart and responsible?

(Probably not.)

I’d like to see Alice dealing with some kid at school being mean to her and hurting her feelings, and because she’s an Earl-Holliday she punches the kid in the face (as you do) and her being withholding of her reasoning for punching said kid but Wynonna is eventually able to get it out of her and the two share a nice moment
