“I wasn’t–” Luna paused, remembering   that he’d asked her not to lie to him  anymore. Maybe she still would, if she  had to, just not when it came to Stiles.   It wasn’t hard to see that Patrick was  getting annoyed with him, and Luna felt  guilty. “I didn’t mean to stare. I got   distracted, lost in my thoughts. But I  wasn’t staring at him. Was just thinking  that maybe we should do something this  weekend; get away from everything.”

There were times when Luna forgot she didn’tlove Patrick. Times when it felt like maybe thingsbetween them were real. She still wasn’t sure why she couldn’t love him, but sometimes it feltlike she did. Luna let Patrick pull her close, restingher head against his shoulder as he did. There was a smile on her lips, a real smile because she was truly happy with him then. Everything washow it was supposed to be. Nothing in the way,not a single thought of Stiles. Just Luna andPatrick and the song playing.

“Someone like me?” Luna was constantly surprised and taken  off guard by the things Patrick said to her. He was so nice,  without a doubt the sweetest person she knew. Luna could  never deserve someone like him, and he deserved better than  someone like her.

"Am I dead?" ( patrick )

“No, no. You’re actually very alive. This  is all very real.” The last thing Luna had  ever wanted was to get Patrick involved  in the supernatural, but she had no choice.  Besides, he would have had to find out  eventually. She just wanted to…break it  to him slowly.

"How do you really feel about me?" ( patrick )

“I love you.” She said it so much, sometimes she believed it. Luna cared about Patrick, she really  did. But she still felt that ache in her chest, and no matter what she or Patrick did, it never went away. “I don’t -- I don’t know what else you want me to say, or what it is you want me to do to  prove it.” Luna would do it; anything Patrick asked. Maybe if she convinced him that she loved him, she really would. “Because I do, Patrick. I love you. I just need you to tell me what I have to do to get you to believe me.”

“How do you accidentally buy sixty birthday cakes?” ( patrick )

“I can feel you judging me, which hurts, by the way. But it was an accident.” A very stupid, hard to explain accident.“It just -- happened. I ordered it online, and I’m not the words best typer. I also have this habit of never checking what I have typed, so. But we can just like, give out free cakes. Or big out. I mean, I doubt we’ll be able to eat 60 birthday cakes before they go bad, but are you not excited to try with me?”
