“Okay, this is going to sound weird, so I apologize in advance,” Teagan began, which was really never a good way to begin a sentence, and yet, here he was, “but...oh Maker save me, this is...Isabela thinks I’m uptight and that some good sex will fix me up. And she says things are better experienced...together. So...she’s bought us both a night at the Blooming Rose. Not with the same person, that would be awkward as hell, but...the same night. Tonight, to be exact.”

Teagan was absolutely crimson at this point.

“And she has made some threats if we don’t go. Please tell me you know of a way to get us out of this.”

The Inquisitor’s nostrils flared the moment the woman pressed her lips against his, his ears pricking up and eyes opening wide. Maker’s arse, what the hell was going on!? He thought Marisol wasn’t very fond of him, and yet, here the woman was, pressing her lips against his.

Kaaras didn’t kiss back, even if there was a deep part of him that was screaming at him to take her–in more ways than one. The beast within wanted more, to feel her skin on his, for clothes to be out of the way, but he pulled back, gaining control of himself as his cheeks blushed hot.

“Maker’s breath…” His voice came out as a peep, small and nervous. “What was that for?”

A soft smile settles on Sorsha’s normally sharp features, blue eyes full of adoration for the woman before her. 

“I wouldn’t expect anything less,” she murmurs, voice barely loud enough for Daisy to hear. 

In that moment, she is suddenly gripped with the urge to approach Daisy, despite the already little distance between them. A bittersweet sense of longing has wrapped its way around her heart. It’s been so long since they’ve spoken, and yet...

Instinctively, Sorsha reaches for Daisy’s hand, fighting the heat rising in her cheeks. There is so much she wants to say to her. Swallowing down the need to apologize–to express her regret–she finally meets Daisy’s eyes. 

“You’ve come so far. I couldn’t be more proud of you.”

The camp was bustling with people. Clan Lavellan was one of the larger clans, which had somehow remained decently so. There were some good relations with a few human nobles, so that could attribute it to that. But right now, a group of elves were being sent to spy on the human’s Conclave and Ironina was not attending, but her younger brother was.

She held onto her niece’s hand before letting it go and telling her to go give her father another hug. She turned to Eshne, who was near. Eshne had been an outsider they’d allowed in after a time, just to be sure. Apparently the daughter of Enavua, who had run off to be with a city elf.

“I’m worried,” she confessed, folding her arms as she watched the others get ready. “Something doesn’t feel...Right.” Her dreams had suggestions of something happening, something occurring. “I don’t want Myrrdin to be in danger. I should be going, not him.”

It was a day like any other, the Inquisitor and his team were returning from a mission and were just about to pass over the mountain to reveal Skyhold. But it wasn’t long before they would be able to hear enraged bellowing coming from the castle they now called home. Upon coming into view it was clear what was going on.

The great beast that Harlequinn had taken to was now in a rage, since he had been out fishing when the Inquisitor had left he had no idea where the elf was. For the first few days the monster was either searching the surrounding lands or nesting on a pile of fish he had intended on boasting to Harlequinn. But after coming home to his hard earned fish being tossed out, he had became furious.

He banked back towards the main tower as arrows were flung into the sky, flames from the dragon’s gullet destroyed most of the projectiles but still many stabbed at his belly as he landed on the battlements. Forst’s maw snapped onto one of the archer’s while others attempted to stop the beast.

It was clear that Forst was a danger to everyone, and it was to be decided if he would be killed or if the Inquisitor wished to attempt some sort of bonding. Hell, maybe some sort of magic bonding would force the monster to obey.

Mythal, she thought with a slight across her cheeks. Being in control and leading wasn’t exactly something she was used to doing. But Eshne was asking her, so...“Um... I was thinking somewhere more quiet. You know. You just arrived to camp after a long mission and you look like you could use a break from everything. I thought maybe it would help keep people off of you,” the elven woman commented with a shrug of her shoulders. She knew of a pretty place not so far from camp, though just far enough, where she’d started to watch the sunsets every evening while they were stationed there.

“It has been a rather unexpected year,” Dorian agreed, smiling as Harlequinn kissed him again. He was happy to have someone like him in his life, lucky that he wanted to be with him in this way.

“I do not make resolutions. They only end up broken and everyone is disappointed. Do you have any resolutions?”

An eyebrow crooked upward as the blonde general’s gaze met that of the redheaded woman she’d started questioning. She had no idea just what the other woman  was up to, and it concerned her somewhat. What was she playing at? Perhaps it had nothing to do with Selena’s position or anything about Grado’s military itself directly, but...if it wasn’t, then what?

“Please feel free to explain what it is then, because during the whole duration of your time so far in Grado, I’ve caught you staring at me many, many times.”
