“Everyone? Really hard to believe you couldn't make one call.”
Poe had a bit of trouble wrapping his head around the fact that he couldn’t answer at least one call. To him, there were plenty of ways to tell someone what was going on without risk. Part of him just wanted to walk out of the room and call it a day. There wasn’t much he could do. He risked a fight if he picked the wrong words, but his emotions were getting clouding his judgment. The words he wanted to say were bubbling on his tongue and bit the inside of his cheek to stop them.
Scoffing at his words, he shook his head. Poe had been up waiting to hear from the other just to know that he was alright. Seeing Blue in this state wasn't helping him keeping his temper in check.
“Yeah, that’s what matters, I guess. Not that you have people worried about you. Nah, they’re fine. Thank everything you have your money, girls, and this business.
There wasn't anything for him to say. He could scream until his throat was raw but both of them were stubborn. Blue more than Poe. It wasn't his place to even say anything about what Blue did. Still, he would worry until he knew that the other was alright. Anything can happen and Poe dreaded getting a call that the worst had happened.
“ Really, you’re going to fucking start that with me? I am doing what I can to survive..! This is all I have!
Oh I failed to mention, your life would’ve been in jeopardy if I didn’t find a way to control this shit! These men are not forgiving and tend to want to go after relatives to the men that cross them.
You--- why am I even explaining myself at this point. What’s the point?”
At this point he was a ticking time bomb, he felt as if his brother was judging him a little harshly. It wasn’t fair in his eyes, he felt he was doing his best to protect everyone, yet it was never good enough. In his eyes he never viewed himself as selfish.
Blue began to pace, before he stopped at his desk. Balled fist lightly tapping against the table top. Letting out a huff, he glared off across the room. Parting his teeth as he then spoke. Groaning as his head reeled. Reaching for the nearest bottle, he took a swig. Clearing his throat, he then squinted looking at his brother. His expression contorted, from confusion then to a scowl.
“ Why do you even care to begin with? You’re never home and never were, once you turned eighteen you left. It’s always just been my fight alone and still is. You don’t think I don’t remember.
And these girls.....these girls are like MY FAMILY.
They are sometimes all I have and, and they never leave me..”
