The more Adrien travelled, the smaller the world became.
He was out recruitng for his organization, and he had spoken about this girl he had met. She was tiny, with red hair and incredible stregnth. The description seemed to strike a cord with someone else in the room.
"Under control?" Rikki scoffed. "It certainly didn't look like you had that under control. It looked like you were about to-" the ground where he once stood crumbled. "Yeah. That."
Adrien watched the ground fall away with a bit of surprise showing on his face. He hadn’t seen that, but pride would never let him admit it.
He scowled once more. “Fine, Thank you,” he said. “But none of this would be happening if you hadn’t brought me here. I just asked what else you could do. I didn’t ask to be taken to an alien planet.” He gave her a push. “Would you please get off of me?”
@ofriptidesandtime replied to your post “ Thomas and jay”
Jay honestly doesn't even register it for a good minute or so. Just keeps talking. Then when it processes he lets out a quiet scream and a 'does this mean we don't have a token white cishet anymore?' Nervously. Trying to defuse tension.
Thomas just watched him talk, as his face heated up and he waited for some reaction. Any at all.
When the reaction came, he sputtered, “I am not the--. Okay, maybe I am. Or, was. I don’t know!” Then, he took a breath, stepped closer, bit his lip. “I guess the answer is no.”
So Thomas would probably want a fairly traditional Jewish wedding ceremony, but he’d def work with Rikki on what aspects she wanted to keep or not keep. (Do atlanteans have wedding ceremonies?)
His parents would probably invite everyone and their mother, assuming this wedding takes place when they’re still alive. (Honestly, Thomas would bend time or raise the dead to make sure his parents made it to his wedding. He’s my only muse with a good relationship with both of his parents and, by God, they get to see him get married.)
Thomas cried when he sees Rikki. I’m not sure how Rikki would dress for the occsion, but it doesn’t matter. Thomas cries when he sees her for the first time in like a full day at the beginning of the ceremony.
Most likely an outdoor wedding. The reception would be huge. Lots of alcohol. Lots of people. Live band.
I have no idea who Thomas’s “best man” would be. (Jewish weddings don’t technically have a “best man” but it’s something I think Thomas would do. There are things that a Jewish best man can do during the ceremony. Also, Thomas needs someone to periodically slap him to keep him from freaking out over the fact that he’s actually marrying Rikki leading up to the event, and Cecelia is too busy doing God knows what being Rikki’s maid of honor to fulfill that role.)
There are so many toasts at the wedding. They go on forever. Everyone cries. Everyone is so emotional.
Thomas doesn’t leave her side all night. He doesn’t take his eyes off of her. He’s in shock .He stays in shock for weeks. He takes every chance to refer to her as “my wife”
Bottom line is it’s the best Goddamn day of Thomas’s life.
Adiren’s watched evenly as the red-head floated up to his eye level. She was like him, in a way, and he immimdiately began thinking of how he could use her in his organization.
“How exactly do you fly?” he asked, peering down at her feet. His shadow was uncharacteristically still. He had yet to give anything away about his own powers. “Can you do anything else?”
“We don’t have enough time!” Rikki yelled, pulling him out of the way of an oncoming fireball. “we both can’t make it through the gate. just get into the garrison, thomas!” they were all training outside the garrison when they got ambushed. thomas and rikki had gotten seperated and were the last. there was no way they could both get through though, someone had to stay to make sure the ambushers didnt get through the gate
Thomas jumped towards Rikki, catching his balance before crashing into her.
“I’m not leaving you!” he yelled over the chaos. “I told you, either we both get inside or neither of us do. I’m not going to make you hold this place on your own. We have a better chance at keeping them out if you let me help you. You don’t have to do this on your own!”
