1. Your blog is based solely on making gifs out of videos that you don’t own. Oh and guess what, so is this entire website. No one simply “owns the right to be the first one ever to make a gifset”. We just expect others to be decent human beings and understand that with the common sense that at least most of us are provided with. Using different videos does not give you the right to use the same context (coming later).
2. The gifset that you claimed that I copied from you, that was quite a prominent moment from the panel. People were talking about it for days. If you’re coming at me for copying that gifset, why don’t you go do the same to the hundreds of other people who also made it using the same video? Also, correct if me I’m wrong, but my gifset included Chris Hardwick. Did yours? Oh yeah no it did not.
3. You claim that you apparently were granted the right to copy the gifset because you made one of the first moment back in 2013 that got to 100k (wow congrats). Tell that to all the other gif makers on this website that create gifsets everyday that include moments from the past that have already been gifed. Also, that moment was recreated hundreds of times due to the audibility of the audio. Which brings me to my next point. The gifset that I created contained a moment that was pretty much inaudible unless you listened very closely, which evidently you didn’t do which is why your gifset came right after mine and apparently either did anyone else which was why I was the first to make it after months of it actually happening, except unlike you they were decent human beings about it and reblogged my post instead of recreating their own.
Finally, just because you made something back in 2013 it isn’t written in blood that it is your duty to follow up years later as if you owned the moment. I wouldn’t have cared if you simple just gave an “Inspired by:” credit, instead you pretty much claimed it as your own. Smaller blogs will understand because I’m sure it’s happened to all of us. And now I just hope that you quickly read this so I can delete it because I don’t want this long and ugly ass post of me trying to explain common sense to a person to liter my blog.

I’m answering you here since I couldn’t reblog from you:
1- I do know we all use video we don’t own to make our gifsets, but my point was that technically if you have to give credit to someone when making a gifset then it has to be the owner of the video (that’s why we put link to original sources), but then when it comes to ideas and creativity, it’s way more difficult to settle as to who got the idea “first” and who can or can’t claim right for that idea. How many times another gifmaker and I came up with the same idea, giffing the same part of a video or made very similar gifsets ? And yet we didn’t confer each others before doing it. How many times I saw gifsets of people stealing something I could claim as my idea ? I’ve been running my blog for more 3 years now and I don’t want to sound like a prententious twat but I did bring new ideas to that fandom. I did see the fandom change in 3 years and I can tell some of my ideas influenced the fandom. You might think I’m an big egocentric arse saying that but I know they did. Your gifset itself proves me I’m right because if I “stole” the context from your gifset, then your gifset itself wouldn’t have existed if it wasn’t for mine in the first place. Or it would have certainly be different (i’ll explain why in n°3)
2- About the gifset from this year Comic Con, I didn’t claim it as mine, I just pointed out I was the first one to make it, and as you did this time, back at that time, I also noticed your gifset was very similar to mine, I didn’t mention it but it is a fact. It’s actually even more similar than the one you’re claiming credit for. And you said “using another video doesn’t give right to use the same context” ? Well adding 2 more gifs with Chris Hadwrick goes in the same category, it’s not becauce you added gifs with him saying 2 more sentences that the gifset doesn’t look the same nevertheless. So then I’m asking you again what’s the difference between these cases ? None. If I can’t blame you for making similar gifs to mine, then why are you blaming me for doing the same ?
3- Again I didn’t claim right for that first gifset in 2013 either. I just brought it back because I’m trying to think your way which seem to be “first to get an idea, first to gif it and gets notes”. The thing is, you’re right about one thing. The sound was inaudible and I did listen to the video again but certainly wouldn’t have been able to understand if it wasn’t for your gifset. I admit it. And for that, maybe as you say, I should have given you credit under a “inspired by” for example. Okay. But then, if we are thinking that way how come you got the idea to gif the parallel between 2013 and 2015 ? How come you didn’t only gif that video from 2015 ? Shouldn’t you be the one giving credit to me with an “inspired by” then ? You say that “that moment was recreated hundreds of times due to the audibility of the audio”. Well you’re wrong. Since I’ve made this gifset in 2013 I’ve honnestly never seen another gifset of it. (if you did see another one please show me !) And you know why ? Because I didn’t put the original source, so then it became way more difficult for others to find it. The only gifset I’ve ever seen is yours. I wonder why is that ? Maybe the answer is like you said it yourself: “We just expect others to be decent human beings and understand that with the common sense that at least most of us are provided with. Using different videos does not give you the right to use the same context“. Because funny thing is also that you didn’t use the same video as I did. So then, back in 2013, maybe none gif it because they were being “decent human being” ? Do you see where we’re going thinking like this ? The fact is that if you want to talk about “credit” as who got the idea first then I really think I can claim credit, and your gifset proves me I’m right since I’m sure it’d have looked way different (and maybe wouldn’t have got so many notes) if you didn’t see my gifset from 2013 first.
And then again, if something I made from 2013 isn’t written in blood, why did it inspire you to make your gifset ?
Plus you keeping calling yourself a small blog ? Don’t be so modest, I’ve seen some of your gifsets on my dash (like the Ryan Reynolds one) which got over 100 000 notes, so I really don’t think “small” blogs get that many notes.
P.S: This is probably my last word on this subject because I’m tired of arguing.
