Gabriel smiled at the other, leaning closer as he did to avoid being overheard by what he were pretty sure were a delegation of the fae. This was supposed to be a summit of some sort for the supernaturals of the city, something about recent acts unbecoming. Gabriel had zoned out half an hour in, and the same man was speaking and didn’t seem to have any interest in stopping two hours later.

“I’m sure we could think of something more... pleasurably invigorating than this.”

Jason bent down, making sure his guns were obscured from the other’s line of sight, “I heard someone was in here. Seemed like a sketch place to be, so I decided to check in and make sure no one was getting murdered.” 

He cocked his head to the side, “So, what’s wrong with you? What would bring you out to such a... um, weird place?” Was weird the right word? Spooky, perhaps?

    “Look... I didn’t mean to scare you. I’ve just dealt with this crazy brood for too long, and sometimes yelling is the only way to get them to listen.” 

    She’s just trying to help him, both her and Bruce know who his father is, but neither of them cares. He’s a child, someone to be protected and taught, not shunned and cast out for something he couldn’t control. 

     “I know, Micheal. And I know that this power scares you and intrigues you, that it gets stronger with every day that passes... I know because I’ve been where you are.” She’s quiet, gently taking his hand so she can discreetly and gently show him the power coursing through her own veins. 

       “You’re not the only child of a deity here, Micheal. And you certainly won’t be alone in learning to control this... or any other endeavor in your life. You’re family now, Micheal. And we don’t give up on family.”

   “Dark desires? I wish it was as simple as that.” 

   She really does, but unfortunately? It couldn’t be more complicated. A demon in her own right, if she gets pissed off enough. She can barely control herself then and in this day and age... Killing isn’t an option anymore, not like when she was younger. 

      It was so much easier to hide back then... Pretend the blood on her hands was because she was threatened, because they’d insulted her... not just because she couldn’t control the beast inside.

The woman smiled softly as she nodded,motioning for him to sit down in front of her. She hummed when he did, hands immediately going to his hair. “You have such nice hair. I’m jealous.” She told him with a soft laugh as her fingers worked on braiding and unbraiding his hair while she mindlessly played with it.
