@wingsofintxlligence sent: Chucks a snowball at Ed from behind, casually walks off looking innocent.
He was minding his own business, hating the cold, hating the fact that they had been sent to Northern Command to collect reference materials. He just wanted to get the shit they needed and get back to Central. At least it was warmer there and it didn’t make every old injury he had hurt like hell... not to mention the connection for his automail leg. Thankfully Winry had made it easy for him to be able to change it out himself when he needed to but still......
The last thing he wanted was to have a cold, wet snowball hit the back of his head and fall into the back of his coat.
Spazzing out, he tried to get the fragments out before they could melt too much. “WHO THE HELL THREW THAT!?” he yelled, wheeling around, still trying to shake it out. Catching sight of Hanji, honey brows furrowed deep KNOWING it was her that had done it. No one else around here would’ve. (It wasn’t like they were actually up at the fort... if it had been there it could have been ANYONE.)
Grinning devilishly, the Major took up a decent amount of snow and formed it into a ball. “Payback’s a bitch,” he laughed, a bit of mania in the tone, and reared back and threw it with every bit of force he had... and Ed was no slouch in the muscles department.
Play nice and say hello

“Nah I did enough if that back home. Although how I got here is still a mystery to me. My name’s Hanji Zoe. Titan Researcher and Squad Leader for the Survey Corps.” She smiled at him. “But seems you guys have a different military set up here. No Walls either.” She added, looking around.
Quirking a brow, his focus was grabbed by the whole idea of her not knowing how she even got here. How did ya not know how you got somewhere? The only thing he could think of was the portals but those were opened in ways Ed didn’t even want to think about anymore.
Setting back on his heals, he crossed his arms, brows furrowing deeply. “What do ya mean ya have no idea how ya got here? Were ya drunk or something? Not very good if you’re supposed to be some military person from where ever it is ya come from.”
Yes, Ed was being a bit of a dick and maybe it wasn’t the best ‘first’ impression to be making, but he didn’t care. He’d been saddled with this ‘new comer’ and he wasn’t exactly happy about it. Even now he didn’t exactly always play well with others after all...
“You must have really fucked up if you’re bein’ stuck with me. That bein’ the case...” Sighing, Ed let his arms drop and he held out his hand, finally at least trying to be nice. “I’m Major Edward Elric... the Fullmetal Alchemist, but you can just call me Ed or Fullmetal... most everyone around here does. I don’t care too much for the whole rank bullshit...”
When a glance at the butt becomes useful?

She glanced back, looking more or less normal now. “What case is this one?” She asked as she poured the tea and brought it over, setting one by Edward before taking a seat herself. She had been stuck in this world for months now, having had come here by accident, she was still getting used to the fact there were no Titans here, that people could come and go where ever they liked. She had agreed to help Edward with what knowledge she had in return to learn Alchemy, hoping it could help her own world.
It would take him a few moments but he eventually righted himself in his chair. Basically it was the smell of the tea that had done it more than anything. Putting an absurd amount of sugar in it, the Major took a sip. “Thanks for this by the way,” he smiled before turning his attention to the actual case file.
Pulling a few sheets out of it, he grabbed the dusty looking journal that had gone along with it. “What’s it about?” he scoffed quietly. “That’s what’s givin’ me the damned headache... I have no damn idea. Nothin’ in it is matching up with any codex I have access to. I’m hopin’ something in one of these that I had...” Ed paused for a moment, looking around almost a bit too over dramatically, before continuing, “~brought~ in from outside Amestris will help.”
Sometimes the fact that he was still on good terms with Mustang’s men was helpful. Havoc had a way of being able to get him the stuff he was looking for when going through the ‘proper’ channels was a bust.
