Ireland’s formed its National Olympic Committee in 1922 and participated in its first Olympics as a country at the 1924 Paris Summer Olympics. They haven’t hosted any Olympic Games, but they’ve participated in 21 Summer Games and 7 Winter Games. The Olympic sports in which Ireland has medaled are Athletics (i.e. track and field, road running, racewalking, & cross country running), Swimming, Boxing, Sailing, Rowing, and Equestrian.
