too late
"Piper!" Gwen groaned out as she ran. It was obvious she probably ran out of webbing — or it snapped. Seeing her fall mid air, like that. She was too far away— god she was too far away! The blonde started to run. Run as fast as she could- like she was on the track team. Jumping over debris that littered the ground, her eyes scanned. She didn’t see Piper anymore. That made her frantic. "Piper! Piper!" Her voice echoed. "God, say something!" Tucking her blonde strand behind her ear. Moving a large piece of debris and throwing it behind her, there she was. "Hey- hey!" Her petite hand instantly ripped the mask off of her face. A gasp was all that was heard. Bloody, nose— hands reaching to the back of her head… Head wound. "Piper, hey!" Holding her head close. "Breathe…" The blonde frowned as her eye started to water. Her companion’s blood covered her hands and her chest as she held her head. "C’mon, you’re fine- Piper, this is a sick joke…" Gwen’s voice was shaky. Obviously knowing it wasn’t a joke, but hoping it was. "Come back— come back to me…" Little sniffles turning into long, hard sobs as she held her head into her neck. Petting her hair. "Come back to me…"
