             kimiko was a creature of solitude. she would often linger on the outskirts of the village, tending to whatever curiosities held her attention at the time. she had been sifting through leaves, climbing from one tree to the next. it felt nice to enjoy the brief moment of freedom, free from training & rules & whatever else was expected of her. this was her time, her place ... & she hadn’t expected to stumble upon another.

yet she had. a stranger, doing this or that. she stayed concealed in the trees, watching ... his eyes drew her in. the eyes of a hurricane. shifting, drawing her in. she blinks slowly, pale lashes falling as red eyes open to watch him closely. she brushes a stray strand of hair from her face as she moves quietly through branches, moving to get a better look at him. she pauses when he pulls out his eye drops, waiting a few moments to observe.
