Today is a very special day...today is the day we celebrate the life of #OGBiggaRankin!!! Not only has he earned the Jamaican honor of being "RANKIN", which means HIGHLY RESPECTED....he has also earned the title of OG. In today's society many people give themselves these titles without achieving these honors, yet @biggarankin00 has put in over 25 years into the music industry. BIGGA is accredited with breaking some of today's highest artists; such as, but not limited to @richforever @laflare1017 @yogottikom @hairweavekiller and most recently @yfnlucci. Many djs say they broke records when honestly they were the first to play it in their city. When Bigga breaks a record or artist, we have market visits, plaques, and more to show his actual work into these campaigns. I dont say this to down talk anyone bc all djs in every market are respected by me. I say this to honor a man who does not BIG UP and high five himself. I've seen Bigga spend his own money on artists and these artists turn around and bite the only hand that was willing to INVEST in them. I've seen him open doors for djs, publicist, marketing reps, and more to habe these people turn around and talk down on him. I used to get into heated arguments with folks until he said "Breezy we don't have to do that, people who need to know the work I put in don't pay them any attention". I chose to post clips of him saluting me because he is probably one of the few people that understand why I am the way I am. I'm not the easiest person to work with, yet I thank @rapjuggernaut for being the first to see a Diamond in the rough and Bigga for helping polish me. A lot of people don't understand exactly how giving, humble, and awesome Bigga is.... just know that when a man sacrifices time with his family, his money, gives you knowledge and the ability to feed yourself & your family; NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS IN THE FUTURE, ALWAYS GIVE HIM THE HONOR AND HOMAGE HE DESERVES. I love you Bigga, being a listening ear, a shoulder for me to cry on, for allowing me to be "Mama Breezy", and for holding me down miles away.
