The grandeur of the hall wasn't lost on her; in fact, she spent more time taking in the scenery than she had socializing. By all accounts, this was abnormal for Rhia, who more often than not struggled to stop talking. It would just take some time adjusting to being back, that was all. Or maybe she discovered a new form of self-punishment; isolating herself and embracing its discomfort.
The only one who could coax her out of her shell was herself, and that wouldn't be accomplished by leaning quietly on the sidelines and refusing to open up to anyone that approached. The sentiment pushed her from the wall toward an unsuspecting victim near the dance floor. Rhia approached swiftly, before her mind caught up and gave her enough sense to put an end to the charade.
Her fingers extended, curling delicately around her wrist until her palm faced upward and outstretched to the other. She bent into a dramatic bow, placing the tip of her left toe behind her and tipping her head downward. As she returned upright, her fingers beckoned to the other. "Care for a dance?" she mused, smiling mischievously as she stared down the other.
It’s the Valentine’s Day event of the year !!! Tri Delt is hosting the event of love this year, and it’s one you don’t want to miss !!! The theme is LOVE BITES, so dress - in red or pink, of course - to do your worst.

Game room with karaoke, pin the arrow on the cupid, heart shaped balloon darts and more !!!
Photo booth - drag in a date (yours or someone else’s) to give them a spin
Valentine’s station - don’t worry if you forgot to send out valentine’s this year !!! Tri delt has provided roses that you can anonymously have sent out
Speed dating - for those lonely hearts to try and find their match
AND, last but not least, spin the bottle - for those who are lonely in other ways, if you know what we mean…

OOC; If you wish to partake, we will randomly assign a handful of partners (how many will depend on how many people sign up) for you o do a thread with. These threads can be short and sweet - the muses only have three minutes, after all !!!
PAIRINGS - SPIN THE BOTTLE
Take a spin of the bottle and take whoever it lands on into the nearest closet in this spin the bottle/seven minutes in heaven combo. What you choose to do once the door shut…well, that’s between you and your partner !!!
OOC; Every muse who partakes will have two randomized pairs - who they spin, and who spins them. You then can write threads for their private little moments in the closet.
IC TASK - VALENTINE’S CARDS
Go ahead !!! Purchase an anonymous rose from the Tri Delt sisters to send out to your valentine (or valentines) of choice. Since these are completely anonymous, no one will know who sent them. So go ahead, get ballsy with it.
OOC; Have your muse send anonymous valentine’s by submitting them to the main by 10 PM EST on JANUARY 15TH. These will be sent out throughout the night and delivered to their recipient…just be aware that Cupid might have a mind of their own !!!

It felt strange, to have come full circle like this. The memories of last years homecoming burnt fresh at the back of their retinas, flames licking at the edges of the memory. Was this what people meant when they talked about deja vu? She'd never understood it, not really. In principle, sure, but life was for the most part drab and monotone and as such, were you not destined to repeat things? Wasn't that why the Stoics had been so obsessed with eternal return?
But this, she thought to themselves, fingers tracing the edges of the window sill they're leant against, this felt different. As though there was malice aforethought in the repetition of things. An ominous little reminder that things were very much the same, in spite of the new semester on their new class schedules.
"Did you run for ... court, or whatever it is it's called?" They ask the person nearest them, making eye contact for the briefest of moments before gazing back out over the crowd. "I'm surprised that's still a thing, after last year, you know? Feels like we're setting ourselves up for failure."
