April 17, 2014 "Twisting Truths" (Unfinished, Unedited) The crooked light Tricks us into thinking that, because it's white, It has the power to push the dark to the bottom, Because shadow, impedes our sight. The crooked light fixes the fight, Dancing in a regale of rainbow and bright, Meanwhile, telling us that the dark is trite And that all it's complaining, Is being done out of spite. The crooked light Swears it knows the kite, Boasting how as soon as the morning breaks they both take flight, Never for once telling you That when each day is done It catches fright, Because in this space the dark rules the night. The crooked light does not want Me to write, that without the two, Try as I might Even this poem would need a rewrite. The crooked light does not want you to know it shares life. That without dark and light, All this would be a blight. The crooked light can only be half right. #oggl_ig #ruddypoem #blackportraiture #whiteportraiture #bedstuyportrait #brooklynportrait #brooklynphotography #streetportrait #streetphotography #makeportrait #makeportraits #igers #instamood #sonya7r (at BedStyles)
