The Ogre Tribe
On the planet Asra. The Ogre Tribe is heavily based on Japanese oni. And multiple Asian cultures.
In the Ogre Tribe only the women and children where mask, mainly because it’s a sort of “non-Ogres are not privileged to see the pure faces of our woman and children” tradition. The Ogre territory doesn’t have many non-Ogres so they don’t usually wear mask. Men are expected to have rough looking faces, not ugly, but more manly stubble or beards or scarred from battles. It’s not incredibly rare for a male ogre to be born with a incredibly beautiful face. Boan is considered very handsome which is wear he has to wear a mask around non-Ogres. When foreigners visit and kids are caught without mask they will turn their back to the foreigner, of course they mean no disrespect as they will act the same to them regardless, some children will even ask foreigners to stay here while they run home to get a mask. The image above shows a adult mask not a child’s mask. The mask about is a adult warrior mask which clips to the horns of the wearer and has a “necklace” to help from being pulled from the face.
