Could you do some hc with ogun and having a black daughter(s), like hands down he would be the best dad ever
Yess because he definitely would
-Ogun as a dad??
-The absolute cutest. Him and his daughter are literally best friends.
-Ogun picks out his daughter’s outfits sometimes, and he honestly uses that as an excuse to coordinate their outfits to match with each other.
-When she was a baby, he also purposefully got her those cheesy onesies that would say something like “daddy’s princess” or “I get it from my dad” on them, and would make it his mission to flaunt it around you.
-Puts her on his shoulders when he walks around, and your daughter eats that up, smiling with her two missing front teeth and clapping her hands to go higher.
-Ogun has such a serious face as he’s brushing her hair, rubber band lingering out the side of his mouth as he tries to get her part right. He puts a ton of bows and barrettes in her hair as well and your daughter loves it.
-Her and Ogun have concerts in the living room, singing along to her favorite kiddy songs. They both have remotes in their hands, Ogun standing in front of the TV with his daughter on the table as her stage, and they sing their hearts out while dancing horribly to cocomelon.
-His sarcasm has rubbed off on her so she’s kind of sassy and has a lot of personality to her. But other than that, she’s super polite and he raised her to have a lot of manners when talking to people.
-She also has Shinra and Arthur wrapped around her finger.
-“Uncle Shinra!” and “Sir Arthur!” would be what she yells as she runs to wrap her little arms around their necks, giggling as they both shout her name back.
-They spoil her so much too. Shinra is always bringing her some type of toy and doing everything she says, and her and Arthur pretend (well at least she’s pretending) to be royalty and he even went and got her a little tiara to put on her head too.
-Of course, whenever the three of them are together, there's always a disaster. It'll be a miracle if the house is still left in one piece by the time Ogun comes back, and he probably threatens to take away their babysitting privileges if they keep it up, to which all of them whine and promise to be good.
-Your daughter thinks that Ogun’s job is so cool, and he has to give her a pinky promise before he goes to work, promising that he’ll always be safe and come back.
-Ogun also carries around a picture of her in his wallet so she’ll always be close to him while he's away too.
-Sometimes Ogun will come home late from work and see you and her cuddled together on the couch, and he smiles softly before leaning down to kiss both of your foreheads.
-That would end up waking your daughter though, and she’d sit up while rubbing her eyes slowly and grinning sleepily at him.
- "Missed you.” She would yawn while reaching her arms up, and Ogun would quietly laugh before picking her up in his arms and giving her the biggest hug he could.
“Ogun, where are we going?” You poked your finger at your boyfriend’s side as you continued walking, frowning your lips slightly since his large hands were still covering your eyes.
“You’ve been asking a million questions ever since we left the car, just be patient.” Ogun said while loudly sucking his teeth, but once he saw the very unamused expression blanketing your face, he bursted out laughing which only irked you further.
Ogun had come to your house demanding that you get dressed since he had a special surprise waiting for you. You stood in front of him with your arms crossed and bonnet secured on your head, thinking he had lost it since It was nearly almost midnight and you were just about to go to sleep. But somehow he had managed to drag you out of your home, promising you that what he had in store tonight was definitely worth it.
“Alright, we’re about to go down stairs now. You’re going to have to hold my hand.” He announced suddenly and It was soon after that you felt his hands snake into yours.
“And you better keep your eyes closed too.” Ogun glared playfully and you huffed in response, disliking that you were being left in the dark, literally.
“We’ve been walking for so long, and these shoes are killing my feet.” You fussed as you carefully walked down the decline of steps, mentally chiding yourself for not wearing something more comfortable. Ogun had expressed that the occasion was somewhat fancy, which was fitting since Ogun himself wore dark, dress slacks with a neatly ironed tie wrapped around the collar of his red shirt. You weren’t complaining, especially since you could clearly see the way his muscles would flex each time he moved.
“We’re almost there.” Ogun assured while still guiding you down and as If on cue, he abruptly stopped in his tracks, causing you to slightly bump into his back.
“Alright, you can open them now.” Ogun called out while looking at you over his shoulder, and a sigh of relief fell from your lips upon hearing that.
You slowly opened your eyes and when you caught sight of what laid in front of you, your mouth fell open in complete shock. There were dozens of brightly lit lanterns floating high above your head, their fire flickering in contrast against the obsidian night sky. Your attention then drifted to the canoe that rested in front of you, watching as It patiently swayed against the river’s current. Your astoundment morphed into felicity as you took in the flower petals that danced on top of the water and the soft music that played all around you.
“Ta-da!” Ogun made jazz hands as he pointed his fingers at everything. “Nice, huh?”
You nodded your head while grinning goofily, still trying to wrap your mind around how beautiful the scenery looked. “Did you do all of this by yourself?”
“I sure did.” Ogun smirked while putting his hands on his hips triumphantly. “I spent all day working on It.”
You were still awestruck at all the effort your boyfriend had put into this place tonight, bending down slightly to look at the framed picture that the two of you took together one day. Ogun had It settled on a table with heart shaped balloons surrounding it.
Ogun then cleared his throat when he noticed your back was turned towards him and quickly dug around in the canoe before jumping back up with his hands behind his back
“This is for you.” Ogun exclaimed and you shifted your eyes just in time to see him reveal a banquet of roses, moving to gently place them in your hands. You carefully wrapped your palm around the thorny stems and inhaled the sweet aroma the petals had, closing your eyes in contentment.
“This is so sweet Ogun, I love it.” You gushed with a permanent cheese on your face. You moved to hug Ogun and he wrapped his arms tightly around your waist before leaning down to kiss your forehead.
“You look gorgeous by the way.” He whispered into your ear and you were a bit flustered, especially with the direct eye contact he was giving you. You then stepped back once you felt Ogun reach for your hand, and you followed behind him as he walked over to the canoe, carefully helping you get inside of it.
“You don’t look too bad yourself.” You responded with raised eyebrows and Ogun adjusted his tie while lifting his chin up confidently.
“Stop playing before I start blushing.” He looked up at you with teasing eyes before sitting in front of you, moving his hands to grab the wooden boards on each side of him. He then began to paddle effortlessly through the water, and your eyes wandered to watch as all the pretty fireflies flew around you. You were so lost in everything that you didn’t even feel the boat stop moving, but when you finally did, you turned to look at Ogun in question.
“I know I’ve been really busy with the company lately, and because of that I haven’t been able to spend as much time as I hoped with you. It really upsets me that I’m not doing my job of giving you the attention you deserve.” Ogun confessed, moving his eyes to look directly into yours. “But I promise I’m going to change that. From now on, I’ll make sure that you know how much you mean to me.”
You shook your head in protest while waving your hand in front of you. “No, It’s fine, honestly! I know how hard you work to protect everyone, and I understand that you’re not always going to be here. Regardless, you always make It clear that you care about me and I’m so happy to have you as my boyfriend.” You finished, catching Ogun off guard. Ogun had been feeling miserable these past few months because of how much he’s missed spending time with you, but now that he knows you’re not mad at him, he felt like a huge weight had been lifted off of his shoulders.
Ogun smiled warmly at you before moving his hands up in the air, the slight lines of fire that covered his body now peeking from underneath his shirt. You saw him move his fingers before squinting your eyes, trying to decipher the flames that were slowing morphing into words. Your expression then softened once you realized what he had spelt in the fire above your heads, and you moved your lips to read what It said out loud.
