Sometimes I seriously wonder what would have happened if Anakin hadn’t totally lost his shit at the end of Revenge and Padme lived and Palpatine wasn’t pulling the strings, like... there was absolutely no way Anakin could have publicly claimed the twins as his own and Padme would essentially have had to raise them by herself. Would she even tell Luke and Leia who their father was?? How do you explain to a child that they can’t acknowledge their own father in public or to anyone outside of their family? Would Anakin have left the Jedi Order to be with them? I can’t see him doing that, even though that’s basically what he did in Revenge when he went from Jedi to Sith. Anakin is our Drama King to the Extreme and I can’t see him going from Jedi to...not a Jedi. Just a force sensitive dude with a nice family. So say he’s still a Jedi and he can’t be with his family and his relationship with Padme becomes even more strained, like to the breaking point, and Anakin essentially loses Padme and his children because he has to remain physically and emotionally distant from them, and then we’re right back where we started with Anakin’s fear of loss and his attachment. It’s just so sad because Anakin and Padme were ALWAYS doomed.

anakin seriously hoped that he hadn’t gotten the wrong guy. ‘ master, wait! ‘ he sprinted after the older man and proceeded to grab his wrist.  ‘ i thought i was alone. ‘  he managed to say while catching his breath. anakin let go of the other’s wrist and rested his hands on his knees with his back bent. ‘ i can’t feel the force. do you know what’s going on ? ‘  

he looked up and frowned the moment he saw obi-wan’s face. he couldn’t tell what it was at first, but there definitely was something different about him. the realization then hit him like a ton of bricks: his master looked old and weary. had something bad happened to him? was he sick?  ‘ master, are you alright ?  why do you look so old ?  ‘  anakin blurted out the question.   ( anakin + obi-wan for  @lcneliesthcarts​​​​ !  )
