Someone was like riko unreliable narrator pov where he glosses over the torture. I just don’t think thats right. Like based on everything we know about riko he kinda enjoys torturing. Its his way to feel powerful and in control in a world where his father and brother don’t acknowledge him. Where his uncle who is supposed to be his surrogate father beats him. Like i do not think he would gloss over the torture i don’t think riko lies to himself in that way. I think he would maybe gloss over ugliness with kevin in his memories. Pretend he really understood every aspect of kevin. That he appreciated kevin more than he did. Wouldn’t discuss the fear he has that kevin is the better exy player. That riko is holding kevin back from being greater. That this boy who riko loves but also feels like he owns is better than riko at the only thing riko believes will make his father and brother love him.

The thing about Eragon/Arya is i do think they had some fun moments in inheritance but not enough for a romance??? And i think arya choosing to be queen while also being a dragon rider is a stupid move that should cause conflict between them. I just don’t get people who are sooo firmly on the eragon/arya train especially having just reread the books. I feel like we need arya to be more developed as a character maybe?? Idk. I feel like i know nothing about her and i get that part of that is an elf thing and part of that is her fear of being hurt but idk i don’t care about her and eragon ending up together AT ALL

i also don’t know if romance is paolini’s strength tbh. I do not feel strongly about eragon/arya or murtagh/nasuada. Though murtagh and nasuada have more juice to me than eragon arya.

   i started rewatching kung fu panda (a marathon of all 3 of course) and i guess i was just young when the third movie came out but like??? THIS is the best content. this is so sweet and pure and i love the way they come to accept each other despite how difficult it was for Mr Ping to accept Li at first 😭🥺

i honestly think it was such a good story to tell. one insecure biological father who’s scared to lose his child again being comforted and validated by the adoptive father that he isn’t the only one scared. they are BOTH Po’s father.

i feel like with how progressive media has gotten i shouldnt be taken aback by how often i hear “dads” but it FREAK OUT with joy EVERY SINGLE TIME. AND THEN THEY BECOME THIS POWERHOUSE DAD DUO?????  I LOVE THEM SO MUCH HOLY SHIT???? Po and his two DADS ❤❤❤

and they both value not just Po, but the new bond they’re now allowed to have together! they are A FAMILY!
