Wanweird- uli

Wanweird - An unhappy fate.

Zelda’s 17th birthday had finally come, though unlike the champions Uli remained in Castle Town to continue his daily work as the king had instructed. It wasn’t often That he resented a king of Hyrule. However King Rhoam had thoroughly pushed Uli over the edge. Though Zelda had left early this morning to pray at the spring of wisdom atop Mount Lanayru.

Uli glanced out to the street bustling as usual, he had a remarkably nice view of the center of castle town, it’s beautiful the path to the castle lined with flags and cobble stone. Uli anticipated returning to Hateno that evening. He plopped on his bed for a moment before being pulled back to attention with a small quake, he brushed it off, surely it was just another tremor, there had been many in the last few weeks. He sighed after several moments of lying on his bed he rolled off orienting himself then making his way down the stairs and out the main door, the sunset was just setting in, it was golden and beautiful, but nothing could shake his worry for the princess she must be with the champions by now, he thought impatient to hear from her.

Uli looked back admiring the sunset playing on the glass in town, when suddenly another quake shook the town, greater than the last few. Uli stumbled and fell back but his attention was quickly pulled up to the castle as it erupted with a dense smoke cloud and plumes of malice falling out throughout the grounds. Uli, stricken with panic urging those around him to evacuate, the time had come when they least expected it.

Uli grabbed his halberd and proceeded to run and urge those he came across to flee and once he reached the central grounds just before the castle the first beam of light shot from the castle, striking a house causing it to explode and throw Uli and several others to the ground. After a moment of confusion He now rushed to help those who’d been hurt and get them out of the area one of his greatest nightmares was coming to realization.

The next few hours were a blur of chaos. Those fleeing from castle town were pushed in many directions Uli found himself making his way to the Akkala citadel to stand against the purposefully diverted guardians, many others, including the champion link and the princess made their way to Hateno however, both paths would be met with great losses..

The battle of fort Hateno was successful in holding off the guardian attacks as the princess finally achieved her power, summoning it to protect her fallen knight, and shutting the rampaging guardians down.

Akkala citadel was overwhelmed after a great battle, and was almost completely destroyed.

Uli found himself trapped, his lower body crushed beneath much rubble, he cries out, but the only thing that answered was a deafening silence.

He was alone. And he would be alone for many years to come.
