To be fair, that was just a Reddit post and an Instagram account that was deleted when asked for evidence. Seb has had more credible allegations about it (not necessarily true,obv).

So i’m ngl im super confused about yesterday and this dress what happened // so yesterday picture with the yellow dress she looked like she was 9 months pregnant to the point where you are questioning “thought you couldn’t fly that far along” and the way the dress fit was kind of weird with the pattern. Today’s picture with the white dress she looks maybe 5-6 months so everyone is like 🤔. But allegedly all these were supposedly taken before the actual festival started so then she shows up on the carpets with a different size bump so again the lack of consistency is astounding and the fact that it was posted by his manager just makes it even more 🙄

but genuinely what was the point of her going to cannes? she didn’t stay to watch the film, she didn’t go to the closing ceremony // I think she had every intention of doing all of those things again this year but was told otherwise when she arrived. She was told she can go to the first function, walk the red carpet but not with him and she wouldn’t be going to the screening but we did manage to snag you a ticket to the Chopard gala, Have Fun!! But we will need you to make an appearance at the after party but just to walk out and that’s it and after that your on your own, go have a girls weekend in St Tropez or wherever. There’s a reason why she all of a sudden has an attitude and wants nothing to do with this shitshow anymore.

my Romanian family has talked to me about this as well, and while my relatives were smacked around by their parents, their teachers also hurt them with rulers as discipline. so there was no better example for them. I am guessing the physical abuse will be compared to what the Norwegians do for their discipline, and how there needs to be some form of it (that’s not harmful).

Corporal punishments are a huge part of South Asian households including Arab and Asian households as well but I had supportive parents in a heavily patriarchal family. My mom slapped me for discipline and sometimes the magical flying slipper appeared but that was it. My brother had ADHD and learning problems so they were nicer with him but there was not that big of a gender gap in our house compared to my cousins. My cousin sister was forcefully sent to an all girls convent school so that she doesn't interact with boys and my cousin brother was beaten with all sorts of things like belts, chargers and stuff you can't comprehend. It was for "discipline".

My best friend's family is patriarchal down to the earth. Her mom talked to mine regarding what she will do in college and her mom was like "She can do a simple graduation or whatever she wants and when the time is right, we will marry her off". Her mother herself admitted that she was married off and couldn't pursue her dreams but at the end they will be making my friend go down the same road and since teenage this is visible. She romanticizes marriage as the end goal, or to say that she feels excited that one day she will get married to someone she doesn't even know (arranged marriages and sht) instead of being excited about her internships or her first salary. So yes some traditions are very cruel subtly and not in a heinous "omg he killed his wife" way.

The worst traditions are those that don't let individuals succeed in life just because someone wrote some "rules" in some book 500 years ago and people are EXPECTED to follow them. In today's time the ultimate form of patriarchy isn't visible by men forcing themselves upon women (not in my country). Today's women are waking up and ditching the "traditions" but at the same time, these trads are reinforced subtly and families expect you to do certain stuff in certain ways, iykwim.

And men do force themselves on women in countries like Afghanistan and all...

Forever seeing him as not the brightest crayon in the box for choosing someone like that to be a kid's mom at his big age. Especially given his experiences. It's kind of funny that he's going to put on his elevated intellectual persona again but parades the shallow opposite of his said values at his side and doesn't get that it only makes the persona look more flat and out of his depth. Or he doesn't care? The two-sides bit that he's doing in his movies seems very personal to him.

The last time Cristian won the Palme d'Or was 19 years ago. The film did receive nominations at the Golden Globes, Critics' Choice Awards, and Independent Spirit Awards. The fact that it didn't represent Romania at the Oscars was quite a scandal among voters. And all of this without the support of any major distributor and with only Romanian actors. This year with Fjord is very different, and he himself has said so. The film was only financed because it had Sebastian and Renate's names attached to it, and they had to take pay cuts to avoid increasing the budget.

I think it was said somewhere that the kids also participate in like sports or athletic stuff, so the bruises could have come from that. But they also said the movie makes you think and question the narrative. Are they being abused, or are they being disciplined, or did they rarely get corporal punishment, but still got it, or was the bruises from sports stuff, etc.

It's crazy how you guys defend her a little even when seeing what she had done, she took pictures of strangers without consent and posted it online to look quirky and adorable. She literally used Palestine as a way to gain followers and is silent when she reached her goal. Is friends with armie and Jared which speaks enough about her, had sa allegations but instead her fans blamed the people. Abandons her pets and with this whole chaos if the pregnancy is fake she is using it which is extremely insensitive. These names aren't anything at all. If I remember she is also rude to her and his fans. She's been bullying and harassing people from day one, so individuals like her deserve nothing but the treatment they gave to others. //
