      ( starter for @rentalfuck )       excuse her as she rifles through her fridge, trying to find the reminiscent of whatever she had picked up at a local bakery earlier today. she was hungry && it was intense, like a spike pricking her spine when she tried to ignore it, so here she was, carrying two big strawberry pastries, back to her soft && plush couch, opening the both so that bear could get some too.                             ‘ have you eaten today?? ‘       she knew he had a habit of eating sweets && sometimes wondered if that was all he usually survived on. && of course she could get him something other than this ( it would probably be best ), hell she was probably going to order something soon && make sure he also got something, but she was merely extending a hand. she knew he could take care of himself, about as much as she could.

He watched the speaker closer before he dragged his gaze back to a newly revived bird. It chirped happily.

“Once I bring them back, I can speak to them plainly and they’ll understand. My intent is usually implied but by then.” He paused, holding out the bird. It flapped its wings once before it took flight. “–It doesn’t matter much. We’re linked by magic. And most of the time I never see them again.”
