Peter squints, “ Are you flirting with me in Asgardian or something? ” the half celestial asks straight faced. It was hard to tell if he was kidding or not, or if he seriously thought Thor was speaking some kind of foreign language. Even if it had been, what made him automatically lean toward flirting? For all he knew Thor could be calling him something terrible!

“What?” he asks for clarification. It’s true he and the halfling don’t exactly get along, though it’s no fault of Thor’s. The other man just... felt threatened? Thor had seen it time and time again with mortal. He used to think them small and petty but now he understood these feelings came from a deep seeded need to be larger than their mortal lives allow them. 

“No. Did I sound like I was flirting?” he answered. “If I was flirting there would be no question of my intentions.”
