For the last week or so I’ve been wondering if I was ever going to get this finished; I honestly don’t remember when a piece of art gave me this much trouble! I spent ages moving the composition about and changing the characters (Maria moved from the left to the right only this morning and Mrs Mason got nixed because I wasn’t keen on how she turned out) and tried a couple of backgrounds but as I suck at those I decided in the end to just keep it simple. I think I’m happy with it now...

I gave the budgies a spray bath earlier and I guess they were overdue, because even Horatio got involved!  ...in his Horatio way.

Phin likes to bathe in the water dish WHILE I’m spraying them, and apparently Horatio saw this and thought it looked like a good idea, but then he couldn’t figure out what Phin was doing.  Horatio just kept drinking out of the dish and was like, “WAIT, THIS ISN’T WORKING,” but couldn’t figure out what he was doing wrong.  Eventually he ended up just standing over the dish and kind of wiggling, which I guess is what he thought Phin was doing.

I love that little weirdo so much.
