A rare foxy Micky pic with Roxanne Albee, courtesy of @spreckenzeedeu. Them chicken legs though...
I’m not crying at 2:46 am you are
Facebook didn’t have to do this to me
“And he spends time with children in hospitals. This is a side of Micky that many people aren’t aware of, and that’s as it should be. But the truth of the matter is that when he can get away, Micky goes to St. John’s in Santa Monica, Children’s Hospital in Los Angeles, and other hospitals where there are children’s wards and visits with the kids.’
‘When youngsters come on the set to visit, especially ones who come on with some charity group because the kids are in braces or ill in some other fashion, Mick goes and plays with them all he can. He really loves kids.” - Ann Moses, Tiger Beat Presents Micky Dolenz (Winter 1967)”
New reaction gif for everything ever.
Also, can we please take a moment to deal with the perfection of this line/Micky’s delivery of it...
Have y'all seen Micky as Wilbur in Hairspray from 2013? (search "Micky Dolenz Hairspray" on YouTube) Because 1 the song is cute as hell, 2 Micky is not the one in drag for once, 3 a rare sighting of a hatless Micky, and most importantly 4 at about 8:02 his costar starts cracking him up with innuendo and he can't stop breaking and he finally zings one back 30 seconds later and they almost can't finish the song.
Yes! Micky is hilarious as Wilbur Turnblad in the West End production of Hairspray (which actually was in 2011, not 2013...though Micky did do a performance of a concert version of the show with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra that year). Usually Micky is the one doing the cracking up (making others crack up), so it’s great to see the tables turn for once. For those who haven’t seen, you can check out the video here:
These pictures of a young fan meeting Micky at Boston SouthCoast Comic Con today are beyond precious. (Pics via Twitter.)
